Liam... I play golf twice a week and love playing with the older golfers. They have so much wisdom to offer if our young ego would get out of the way. I love OMP he reminds me so much of my late Grand Dad. I wouldnt care if he wasnt a good golfer ,I would like him anyway. He has such a nice personality and also he is humble. traits we all need. I wish I could come to the UK and play a round with you and OMP and Mr Barlow. Hope everyone is doing well and maybe we all can get back to normal after this lock down. Here in Alabama USA we are finally getting back to normal. Keep the videos coming!!!

Another great video! And thanks to OMP! He's absolutely the best golfer and golf instructor on KZbin. I've used all of these pointers to improve my game over the last three years--from the "traffic light system" to putting out of the bunker. I've become especially skilled at using my 7 or 8 iron around the greens for a chip and run. It blows away my golf mates who keep using lob wedges poorly. And also, I've taken to heart OMP's observation that no one cares which club you use--only thing that matters is the score. So, who cares if your mates are using 9 irons and you use a 7 or 6 iron from the same spot on the fairway? Just as long as you beat them! Never let youthful ego get in the way of great golf. Too many young golfers under-club time and again, and they always hit their shots short--like their willies! Thanks, OMP! Thanks, Liam!

Looking forward to seeing the gang back together out on the course. Get Roy out there! Love to see Roy and Steve opposite each other. Steve is merciless and Roy has a great laugh when the tables turn. OMP is amazing!
@davenoble83843 жыл бұрын
Brilliant tips. I’ve been using them around the course and it has helped my game. I putted out of a bunker (my mates thought I was crazy) and ended with a three foot putt. I watch my Mates stub these high lofted wedges around the green while I run my eight iron to a few feet. Now, I only use the lofted wedges for short shots when there is a bunker in my way. And, shooting away from bunkers and trouble to the middle of the green has kept me out of trouble many times. Great practical tips. Thank you OMP!!

Thank you OMP for your generosity in sharing your wonderful golf tips. I love watching how you plot your way around the course and swing within your limits to let the club do the work. The spot marking for putting has already paid dividends for me and your 7-iron chipping is deadly. Now that we are out of lockdown here in Melbourne Australia, I am keen to employ your tactics in my game. Thank you once again!

OMP is an absolute legend. Great course management can save so many shots. I played today in Wales for first time in 4 months. I play off 17 and had 40 points with a blob and 3 one pointers. I scored well simply by avoiding the miracle recovery shot. Many thanks OMP for these absolute nuggets!

The whole approach of OMP and this channel is refreshing and almost unique. Golf is a ball game, therefore it is about we can do in controlling the flight of the ball by hitting it. It is not about body contortions. OMP does not really have a swing as such, but he concentrates on ball striking to fit a planned shot that is within his capability at his age. I am a mere 74, but this is the way I now have to play because my back is too painful otherwise. So, thank you both. I think The Australian Brian Fitzgerald does a similar channel - worth checking out.

I was fairly new to the channel when the latest lockdown bit. I've binged on the channel content now, but especially on the OMP segments.
