Bubbly’s older brother. Break has seen some things. He’s more jaded, cynical, wry, wistful. The more slow-tempo of the two. Bubbly is in the peak adulthood high, running off endless energy at 3 AM in blinding neon lights. Break is after he’s hungover, crashed, and is reminiscing over everything. The meaning of life in all these places. The one suffering from crippling anxiety and depression and truly, deeply, intuitively feeling it. I needed this song. Thank you. I feel like i relate to this song a lot, the fact that he read "we all have to break sometime" and just ignores it. Like, " this won't happen to me, I'll never break down that bad", but you will and you just have to be able to recover from that. Good Kid 4 is shaping up to be absolutely insane. Personally, I think the lads have perfected their sound. While I love their music, a lot of their songs sound really quite similar, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But with Ground, which was completely new, sounds totally different to their regular style, and it's probably my favourite, to Bubbly, which was their usual sound whilst still being different i.e., mood changes at the end and contrasting with the lyrics, and now to Break, which once again is different in style completely. Absolutely fantastic stuff.

Good Kid never fails to deliver dude istg. One thing i've noticed in this song and in Bubbly, Jon has actually been making so much great appearances lately! It gives much more energy to these songs and i love it. it really made the whole song for me! Other than that, they all absolutely SMASHED the entire song here. Vocal performance? Absolutely lovely coming from Nick here! The feels just oozes all the way from 2:05 to 2:32, the clean long notes he holds on with the intentional cracks around 2:19 - 2:24 ADDS SO MUCH to the overall energy of the song and it fits the lyrics so well LITERAL CHILLS. I also love the nice approach by Jon and Michael that came around 1:45 oh wow. absolute vibes all the way from there. im aware im using "absolute" and "all the way" too often dont mention it shush. OH HOW COULD I FORGET 1:20, David and Jacob DID SO GOOD HERE. If fits so well with the song, it's as if the drummer, bassist and the vocalist are taking a little BREAK for 10 seconds before making a comeback! I love it when there are more than one guitarists in a band honestly. There's so much more possibilities with two guitars playing at once like satisfying and melodic harmonies between those two :) IM SOOOO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS NEW ALBUM AAAAAAADKWJAH💚💚💚
