I've used Good Molecules and The Ordinary niacinamide serums and think they are both excellent on my semi-delicate skin. The Inkey List containers are smart at protecting the actives. TO ascorbic acid products irritated my skin. Yes please, review other items from these three great companies.

@tracywofford3384
@tracywofford3384 3 жыл бұрын
The purpose of the ingredients is to peel or remove dead and dry skin which causes pilling. I'm not sure you would want to decrease that or the ingredients would be less effective.
@wench8291
@wench8291 2 жыл бұрын
@@tracywofford3384 lol no. This comment is referring to when your products form little balls on your skin as their being applied. This is pretty common in these cost effective skincare formulations, especially when layering with multiple products. It actually does negatively effect the efficacy & absorption of the product. Also, you wouldn’t really notice an instant flaking of the skin with most OTC actives, even exfoliating ones like AHAs or retinoids. Maybe you would experience this with a mechanical exfoliant but even that is not super likely unless you have a thick layer of dead skin like what’s commonly found on your body. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Its obvious on how much time, effort, energy, money, etc you put into your videos just to help all of us out on skincare/makeup tips. You always give your subscribers the information that they want and you always answer our questions, ETC. I dont think alot of people know how long it takes to flim/ review/ edit a video... I switched to the inkey list niacinamide serum in November after using the ordinary’s niacinamide. I just didn’t feel like I was getting the results from TO that everyone was raving about so I found the inkey list did my research and even tho people said drier skin types preferred inkey list (I’m very oily) I still decided to go for it and it’s been so much better than TO. I’m not sure if it’s because they have more ingredients that are good for the skin or if it was the zinc in TO but I’ve been really loving the inkey list. I’ve recently been thinking about stepping into the chemical exfoliant world so I’m looking at the inkey list’s exfoliators

@@memoonasaeed4408 I don't think the Ordinary was harsh on my skin maybe a little irritating but I just wasn't seeing the results that everyone was raving about so I found and switched to the Inkey List one. You might try that and see if it works better. It's got some more moisturizing ingredients than The Ordinary's that could help with your dry skin.

I also didn't care for TO niacinamide while I like The Inkey List Niacinamide. but I believe one of the best chemical exfoliators for someone who wants to start the exfoliator journey is TO Lactic Acid Serum. I have very sensitive, combo skin and I started with TO Lactic Acid 10%. it never irritated my skin, also I had great results with it(for me it feels a bit hydrating not harsh, it made my skin glow and helped me get rid of my dry patches). so I recommend you to consider trying TO Lactic Acid even if you didn't like it's other products

Hi Abbey?!... just a quick question?... don't you think that ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide are everywhere ?🤔.. I mean, many products have already these ingredients included in their formulations...I guess, I just wonder if we really need any extra serum in a routine???anyway, the inkey list has,in my opinion, better formulations...and like you, I also prefer the gel consistency in products...have you ever tried PHA'S???...sorry, I just realized you have used PHA'S...🤣... great review again!!!

I just found your channel, I am loving it so informative. I have been thinking about the ordinaries aha/bha blood serum (hah thats just what ill call it) but I have quite sensitive skin, and I reacted to their 7% glycolic acid (now I have heard that the ordinaries ph on their product isnt always the best so I am not giving up on glycolic acid since its a good product for ant aging. Now I use the glycolic 7% on my chest which I have no problem with at all. I do have the slightest bit of sunspots, I am in my early 20s so its not that bad but I am thinking treating the little that I have as well as preventing it might be easier then starting to treat it when its very bad. Now do you think that the aha/bha blood serum would help with sunspots, I am thinking its similar to hyperpigmentation so it should be good right? Sorry for such a long comment...

Abbey! I’ve had the hardest time with hormonal breakouts and I believe some break outs as a result of retinol (not irritation maybe just purging). So I’ve been wanting and trying to introduce bha but I’ve been scared because my skin is dry. It’s not sensitive, I can handle pretty high %’s of actives but I’m afraid to compromise my skin barrier. All I’ve started so far is the Laroche posay medicated cleanser in the morning and leave it on for a few mins and maybe once every few weeks the ordinary aha/bha mask. Do you think the inkey list bha serum is something that a dry skin girl with break outs could use and what would be a good idea on how many days to start off if so? Much love!!

Just curious - had anyone else found luck using the ordinary dropper on their inkey list bottles? I found one of my TO droppers fits on my IL Q10 serum bottle, but am not sure if that's common to all the inkey list 1oz bottles. The dropper makes it much easier to dispense an exact amount of product. (I've also been using a pump from a completely different product on the Q10.)
