Thanks Wes. It sounds like things might be a bit better than expected. I hope it turns out for the best. 👍👍😊

I like picking ear corn around 22%. It drys down in the crib just fine. The one bad thing about the old picker was butt shelling. The dryer the ear the worse it seem to be. Makes good beef though.

East central Minnesota has gotten hardly any rain this month of September 2024. If that keeps up harvest should be easier.

We combine corn at 25-30% for high moisture corn they grind at the local feedlot but for dry corn we try to stay below 16%

What's the status on those experimental beans you were growing for the foreign entity?

Between emergency triple bypass surgery 2 years ago and a heart attack this past July I got way behind on mowing at my farm. Day before yesterday I was able to spend 7 hours in a tractor seat doing some mowing. Felt good.Another 40+ hours of tractor mowing and spraying to go. At my house in town I have a yardguy: $2400.00 a year and he does it all for all seasons. At my Little building/ high end mancave I do the little bit of mowing and herbicide spraying because I like doing it.

@@jaredmoorman1300 This will be fifth year of claims out of the last six years. Too wet, too dry, need a goldilocks year like 2012 was for us - great yield and high prices.
