@@TonnyKrain Not to mention, Sheera was totally right. Between the ages of 20 to like 65, we spend much more time at work than we do at home since we sleep. You're outside self's perception of time would be so much faster, you would feel yourself aging at a much faster rate. You would literally blink and oops there goes 20 years of your life.

Yeah I actually had a similar conversation with my mom and told her I'd probably do severance if it were real, but only if the severance affected purely from the first time onward. Like if I could have two mes split off from each other, but the work me still had the prior memories of deciding to work there (and had the option to quit). I wouldn't be able to put a new happier version of myself into a system that's basically slavery, I'd need that me to be the one making the decision to go in (when discussing with my mom I said I'd rather have the new me be on the outside and think it's more fair if the current me that made the decision is the one working)

@CloroxBleach-rq3meАй бұрын
Sheera is respectfully tweaking. Upon severance, they cleave your awareness in two, and "Home Sheera" is no longer associated with "Work Sheera". Never again will the two interact. Work Sheera is trapped for all eternity at work. Trapped is not a strong *enough* adjective. Work Sheera *can only exist* at work. That's hell, bro.

I think the reason Sheera's comparison doesn't really work is because the outside version of themselves are the ones who are making the decision on behalf of their work-selves to be there. So their work versions don't have a choice in the matter.
@PixlriffsАй бұрын
So happy you’re uploading this twice a week. I watched this show last year and have been dying for reactions, it’s one of the wildest shows out there 😂 can’t wait to see more!
@danielruiz8259Ай бұрын
The thing about Sheera's perspective is that...while she is right, about the person choosing to be back, is that only depends on the outside person. The inside person cannot take that choice, the person inside didn't choose to be a subject of severance neither to stay at work, the only reason they stay at work is because they cannot be anywhere else, their compliance is because they have no other choice and at that point, they can only do the most of it or go insane.
@dohpam1neАй бұрын
Sheera- there is no "me outside work" to the person inside. They are literally two different people. They occupy the same body at different times but their minds and sense of self is completely different. Imagine if someone informed you that every time you go to sleep, two days pass, but a different personality with different memories wakes up and lives the first day, then the second day is actually when you experience waking up. And you found out that this is already happening and has been happening for months. Would you feel like the same person as the other one?

28:00 If you don't have full disclosure it's fraud, thus the second "person" is trapped because the contract was vague. Main dude's best friend said it's not what you think. It's impossible to want an unknown deception.
@exposureeeeАй бұрын
I'd say that they're trapped because they're entirely at the mercy of their outside selves who they cannot communicate with. As long as their outside selves are happy and see no reason to quit, they have no reason to care about whether or not their work-selves want to quit. So yeah their work-selves are definitely trapped imo.

No sleep, no relationships outside of their 4-person pod, just working non-stop and hopefully feeling refreshed after that split-second break in the elevator.
