Every time I say “good night Eric” Eric comes up with an excuse to get Lester to come closer so he can have his wicked way and nip him! He is a fair little horror but you have to laugh at him because he is a try hard little legend

@@yellowpalms Probably to make him stop plucking his feathers. It's a common issue with parrots who are bored/stressed/lonely/don't_get_enough_attention. When the bird starts plucking, it often becomes a habit and it's really hard to stop (basically like biting their nails for humans) Some parrot species are particularly vulnerable (usually those that are the most hyper, like cockatoos, lovebirds, etc)

Oh he must be hurt. My coffins cockatoo named Elliot got hurt during grooming. A boo boo on his foot. He also wore a cone of shame, and I cleaned his foot twice a day for about 2 weeks for his wound to heal. I also own a Bare eyed cockatoo named Charles. He kisses just like Erick and gives love to strangers, rubs them with his head bowed, to show he loves them too. Erick the farkin legand. Is adorable. Love how he kisses without lips.

Thank you SO MUCH or sharing the legend with us . My husband of 50 years is very sick, with severe emphysema. Our African Grey is so stressed he has plucked his chest feathers. I feel so lost, please don't tell me it will pass or it will get better. Eric's opinion that they are all bastards out there is one thing that still brings me a smile. He helps us all to cope!
