@@maddyjoh8488 I guess it is pretty special to be chosen. I got custody of a parrot during a separation. It hated me and loved my husband even though I fed it and did everything else for it. I think it was female -it definitely preferred men. I eventually found it a better home where it could get some attention and not be alone all day.

Oh, thank goodness - I'm SO relieved that Eric is alright, I discovered your channel about a month ago, fell head over heels in love with the little guy, and then realised how long it had been since you had posted a new video. He is just so unbelievably entertaining and adorable, I couldn't help worrying that something bad had happened to him, or to one of your family. So I'm very glad to see that he's in fine fettle, and that his mum and dad are well too. Looks like he might have learnt some new phrases during the time you've been away? He really is a remarkable bird, he's got more personality than half the people I know, and he's amazingly intelligent. You've only got to watch a few of your videos to realise that he's absolutely NOT just mimicking sounds, Eric has got undeniably real language skills. Its incredible. I'm not one of these people who are sceptical of their ability to use language intelligently anyway, but watching Eric has taken my admiration for parrots to a new level. It really must be more like living with a child than a pet. Anyway, thanks for sharing your little boy with the world, he really brings a smile to my face. (And my dad, who had a stroke last year, and can't work any more as a result - he has never used a computer in his life, but after I showed him a few videos of Eric, he wanted to borrow my tablet so he could see them all.) Hope you guys are all in good health. Because I know well sure that you are happy, the love in your house is what every home needs. Plus you have Eric. I grew up with a Galah, named Psycho. He would always make me laugh and stay cheered up. He unfortunately died just under 20 years ago. Then I married a Psycho. The last 20 years have been a slow and painful slide into sadness. But there is a new beginning, I’m divorcing my wife, lining up a nice hobby farm in the country, and once settled in I am going to take in a new cockey. Eric is leaning me toward the bare-eyed, I just wish I could clone Eric though. He never ceases to amaze me. I hope you are enjoying your camping. Cheers!
