Hi John. Better sawing beginning. Beautiful day too. Beautiful lumber. That red pine was beautiful too. That last log/ popular was my least favorite. Great & beautiful logs. Ashamed about the nail(s) in the maple log. We've got many types of maple trees in Vermont. My best friend made a sign out of red maple. So beautiful! Live edge sign too. Thanks John for an enjoyable hour or so of living in the working world of the sawyer. I agree with you about the shingle mill. OSHA would put that piece in a museum...lol. Also, I'm concerned about people, including you walking across that main shaft. That could really mess you up if your pants caught in that. Hat's off to all you sawyers who bring that God made material called wood to the market in the form of a plank. Not so much now, but I used to buy those planks and make stuff out of them that I sold in craft shows. -Curt Kuhns from Pennsylvania, near Philly.
