Thank you for sharing. I bought me two giant bags of Old Fashioned and i find making oatmeal cookies with them can be tricky. I am here looking for how to go about cooking them on the stove top. I like your voice because it reminds me of a character from Steven King's movie the Stand. I think the characters name is Mother Abigail. Played by an actress named Ruby Dee

Thanks for sharing. My mother used to make this just the way you do. I buy my oatmeal loose so I didn’t have directions.😋🙏🏽

I love watching your videos but this recipe looks so yummy . I cook my oatmeal with water because I have high cholesterol. Watching your video made me happy. My oatmeal is yummy and I add blueberries, plain yogurt a few nuts and a little 100% maple syrup.🎉

I love old fashioned oatmeal! I like to put raisins in it to! I don't fix it very often anymore but I love it. The instant stuff comes in handy though when you want a little something to tide the hunger away. Sandra, I know butter is getting very expensive now days but you gotta get away from margarine! It's just horrible stuff for you.
@cookingwithsandrafay2 жыл бұрын
Yes I know margarine isn’t the best for you. I just didn’t have any on hand at the time of the video. Trust me I prefer butter over margarine anytime. 😊
@Jomama022 жыл бұрын
@@cookingwithsandrafay I won't even buy margarine anymore. I quit using it when you couldn't get it to fully melt anymore! I switched to butter and never looked back! I only buy it on sale and it's the cheap butter. I've got 20lbs in the freezer at all times! Now that may change if prices continue to rise like they are, but for the past 10 years that's the one thing I don't compromise on!

As a bodybuilder we careful what we put in body and margarine is not like it used to be you can find margarine made from flaxseed and olive or even butter olive oil mix 60 percent being oil olive I have used butter in year's all my vital and cholesterol is good heart as a runner and I have family history they all use guessed it butter margerin can't use trans fats anymore most only use palm oil that is a form of sat fat if you get the one smart balance expensive you will avoid bad stuff and fatty butter save fats for farther cut of meat

Love old fashioned oatmeal!!! Sometimes with raisins, craisins, or dates. Sometimes with nuts but most of the time I have it just like it is. Blessings 💕💕💕

I usually don't make oatmeal cuz i make it too bland, but this was great! I didn't have everything, so some things i did have to accommodate: *Didn't have evaporated milk(booo cuz I KNOW this makes stuff taste heavenly, dunno what it is) *I only had imitation vanilla on hand, which is weird cuz i tought i had the real stuff, but it tasted good still * And I didn't have cinnamon, but I had pumpkin pie spice which has cinnamon The stuff like the butter and pinch of salt really does make a difference! Much appreciated for this recipe, and you have such a wonderful personality, will subscribe! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
