The simple answer to that of the prophet is simple. The Jews are expecting A Messiah, according to what they have knew in all of Israel the Lord would either send a King saviour, a prophet or a Jewish Priest to save and rule all of Israel. From the prophecy they had. It is about a Messiah which could be a prophet or someone like David to save them from all of their adversities, the prophecy cleared this Messiah/Prophet will be among them. It is also prophesied that who so ever act like a prophet of God without God's command shall die. Thus, the only person that fulfil that prophecy did not die, he rose up to the sky. When though he was killed but he rose again conquer death and rose to the sky. But for Muhammad which Deuteronomy 18: 18 was talking about died. Yes Bro Benjamin really tried, however if you read the passage very well without any bias mind you will know that prophet Isaiah prophesied three distinct individuals and prophet John the Baptist was questioned concerning that prophecy on three distinct occasion (3 times); "Are you the Christ?" "Are you Eliasha?" "Are you the prophet" These were the 3 persons they were in search of and they instantly got answer that shows them (the Jews) that John the Baptist wasn't any of the aforementioned individuals.
