You had a stressful day today!, says Garmin 😂 That ridge was sketchy. Good call on knowing your limitations. Boarding down looked soooooo fun.

It was sketchy for sure! Definitely want to go out there again this summer and do the traverse without snow lol

Just did my AST 1 certification, which was also my first foray into the backcountry winter scene (with touring skis and in Whistler backcountry, in my case). Now, I can finally appreciate the full extent of effort and beauty in your winter videos... Tahoe backcountry looks stunning and I'd love to be there one day!

The whole day was a bunch of fun! Luckily, we had already set a track the first time we went up to the ridge, so going up for seconds didn't take us too long at all. Maybe 20 minutes💪

Another super adventure The colour grading is spot on. Now you're using Sony again, what editing software/presets are you using for photos at the moment?
@codyandvictoria9 ай бұрын
So we mainly shoot PHOTOS on Fuji still. Although we just sold our xe4 for the x100vi if it ever arrives. We use the Sony for photography if it's for a client in which case we have a few presets that we stick to. Maybe I'll throw them up on the store at some point

@@codyandvictoria Nice! Looking forward to seeing the results after you've had chance to play with the colour recipes. Let us know if you decide to put them on the store, I'd be keen

Great video! Are those paw prints at 6:37?
@codyandvictoria9 ай бұрын
Yes! We were trying to figure out if it was a dog or a coyote. Not sure what business a coyote would have up there but also, we didn't see any other foot prints so I don't know why a dog would be up there by itself. Who knows🤷... It's a mystery lol

I love this video!!!! So beautiful!!! I was concerned about the avy danger and your decision making process but maybe it just wasn’t shown on camera. Be careful posting this type of stuff because people who are not avy trained may be inspired by yall but may put themselves in a dangerous situation.
@codyandvictoria9 ай бұрын
Hey thanks so much! Don't be concerned though we were making calls along the way. Of all the ski films you ever watch with people jumping out of helicopters you almost never see anyone dig a pit or talk about avy danger. 🤷🏼♂️ it's entertainment, not advice.

@@jaymills1720 (edited) lol. We decide based on a bunch of factors. Firstly our area has an avalanche forecast that goes out every day which gives you a good idea of the snow pack. On this day there were also a few "test dummies" who rode the line before us which is always nice.
