What are your breaking points? They could be physical or psychological, but there are times you just "break", where you lose your cool, your focus or your ability. This video isn't meant to be about answers as such, but just to remind you to be aware of them so you can actually address them.
It's so easy to get caught up in the moment, even just reminding yourself of your "breaking points" can help reset your focus and get you playing properly again, or studying, or whatever you might be doing.
Hope it helps, let me know in the comments if it does!

This reminds me how weak I am lol Nearly everything has become a breaking point for me: Breaking points that stop me from achieving goals, keeping friends, or even just having fun. There are a lot of factors, but I think the main culprits are perfectionism, a fear of failure, and not being able to leave my comfort zone. Speaking of, I know you've done videos on being confident, but any chance we can get a video dedicated to the fear of failure? I'd be curious of your mindset toward that subject.

The very first thing you said should clue you in on exactly why everything has become a breaking point for you. "This reminds me how weak I am". This is your current mindset. Mindset is the key to ridding yourself of a fear of failure. For me, I had to pretend that I was the version of myself that I wanted to be, a "fake it till you make it" approach, and you will do things you thought not possible, you will feel like you're in a dream-state doing them, because it's so outside of your comfort zone you can scarcely believe it's happening, but it is, and you'll adapt, you'll get used to this new you, and you'll be all the happier for it. And I'm a guy who was diagnosed with a disorder that has a nearly 50% suicide rate, and I let that define me for way too long.

Same issue here. Due to perfectionism I can't feel anything as a win. Always thinking on what was wrong to the point that I have anxiety to even start anything. What I'm trying is instead of always thinking on what went / could go wrong, I try to focus on the little wins. Remind myself that success is not a single jump and you are there but it's a cliff to climb and every grip is a win.

@@toffi2390liking the little wins is good for sure, but thinking what went wrong is a VERY VERY important skill. Do not give it up. Just try to balance it out a little.

This video has weird timing. Ive been a model student my entire life, but going into uni i started noticing the toll it took on me and my environment. Ive reached many breaking points and always overcame them, but this time around, im definitely reaching a breaking point for which im simply too exhausted to break. i feel like its time for me to rethink my priorities and focus more on myself rather than studying alone. Thanks for all of your videos, they helped me immensely across my journey in life!

Excellent advice i need in this exact moment. Im needing to study at least 5 hours a day, and for a guy who was studing only 2 hours it made me break and take 2 days to try to figure out what happened. Your video just helped me, im still figuring it out!

With the mz1 their is no limits. I acually feel like kobe when im useing it. I think my hand is a little wide for it but i never have any pain. Just gets annoying after awhile cus my ring finger is closer to the top on the holes and my pinky falls dead in the center across from the sensor. And it also falls on the holes.

My breaking point is when carp happens and is out of my control to do anything about it. Otherwise nothing else breaks me, you can't offend me. I push to failure in the gym, I study hard, I work hard, that type of stress actually feels good, but the stress of being powerless to do anything, because it's not up to you and you alone, that sucks.

To me, the much trickier, less-sexy version of this entire speech is: to what degree are you "breaking" in this stressful moment? 3%... 21%... 59%...? Not, "have you fully exceeded your calm grasp of the moment" but... "just how MUCH have you maybe lost control". Because while we can 100% percent get beyond our limits, the more interesting territory is the whole ride up to that failed maximum. There is a lot of psychologically salient ground on that ride to the wall.

For a beginner my aim was excellent but after some shots missed, at the begining i thought that was my sensitivity, then my posture, mouse etc. After 3 years of overthinking about everything and btw dont be focus, that became a routine to focus about my arm position or sensitivity during duals to think about every shots to analyse what happen and can't be focus on target for exemple and miss more shots, going crazy. Now its better, i belive in me a little bit more. All that for advise to "dont analyse everything cause that can become your gamestyle, to focus outside the game" Sry for my english. Glhf P.s cheaters in game is my breaking point too
@WorldKeepsSpinnin
@WorldKeepsSpinnin Жыл бұрын
Yea I get what your saying, I too started to do this. I wanted to understand the mechanics of aiming that i was doing naturally before hand. I wanted to become 100% consistent. For the times I couldn’t rely on my instinctual aiming mechanics I wanted to be able to take over. I wanted to understand consciously so that my instinct would get better also, and get rid of any bad habits. I think I started overthinking a bit too, I think there might be a good balance to this but generally you want aiming to be like walking. Not thinking about putting one leg infront of the each but just knowing about to do it at any time. Then slowly fix bad habits from there

_"If at first you don't succeed, try try again."_ These are words that I've strived to live by through the years. Breaking points have become even more meaningful now that I'm middle aged. As a result, that saying has been subtly modified to: _"If at first you don't succeed, hire some college kids to do it for you."_
