@bustabass90255 жыл бұрын
Erroneous credits to Carol Kaye for bass lines on original recordings are rampant. Partly due to the fact that she claimed to be the session bassist on many Motown and other R&B recordings, which were later deemed to be false. While she was very influential in the establishment of 1960's rock and roll music due to her session work as a member of the Wrecking Crew, songs like this one and Bernadette by the Four Tops (which she also claimed credit for) were not her work. When I say that to some players I get a lecture about me " just being lazy" and that a 'real bass player" can get the same power with their fingers. Being a "live" musician is being an artist of so many forms. We want and hope that, all that is known in human music history is based on the sincere quality of compositions and interpretations of compositions, but then there's so much that gets through with: 1) Marketing 2) Wardrobe / Fashion 3) Stage-persona / Acting 4) Coregraphy / Dancing All these are tools which we can use to hopefully shine bright as sincere existences of humanity, but sadly most of us (listeners) all aren't that good at recognizing and differentiating something from being Real, from something being in multitudes (shiny!). Even sexuality. We could go and question the motivations of doing music or feeling emotions aso. But on a simple level - I think you are beautiful and it is hard to keep my objective music analysing on always. But you decided it so. There are so many ways to success and I don't think looking attractive is wrong - as long as you aweringly control yourself to see, how much effort you put somewhere. And right now - I feel good for you, because this was really a spot-on cover of the bass-line in "Good Vibrations" and with your instrument sounding louder than the mix, I was able to actually listen the... enormous thought and effort put into the bass-line of that song. Awesome. So try not to take it to heart - that we are humans, rather - accept and think through how you want to use reality for what cause and through what techniques. Oh and - you are really beautiful! Focus on on music, before the world spoils you for those efforts and your genetic lottery. :) Stay sincere, become human

If you have my luck you'll be riding around in my car hoping I washed my hands before hitting practice, rehearsal, a jam, or a gig. My poor bass guitars!
