So..lets discuss this LOL. i started scripting this immediately after the episode when we were in a weird shadowgast limbo of "wait are they canon or not" and /I/ personally interpreted it as they just stayed friends because while i am full of hope and love for this world...I CANT TRUST THAT EASILY AS A GAY PERSON SO! i thought it went unrequited. and started to make an angsty script. considering. the song is literally about a gay man in love with his best friend who was having lady problems and he knew he could treat him better. soo. yeah. BUT THEN THE VERY NEXT DAY MATT AND LIAM CONFIRMED IT AS CANON AND I WENT OKOKOKOK I CAN STILL MAKE THIS WORK BC DAMNNN I WANTED IT TO WORK! and here we are :). its canon bitches!
this actually took me a While to make which is. very weird . considering engage i blew through like no one elses business but thats just Being An Adult I GUESS. anyway this was SO fun and so enjoyable to make and so dang satisfying to watch come together!!!
"franco did you really make this rather than working on from eden for 2 weeks" yes but whats new. FROM EDEN IS STILL GOING TO BE COMPLETED!! i just... yall... CRIES ITS CANON AND I HAD TO EMBRACE THAT EPILOGUE BECAUSE I LOVE IT!!!
also since people usually ask on my animatics - i have no intentions on finishing this! this is as far as it will get and i like it that way

I find their romance a mote tragic and bittersweet. Elves can live upwards of 750 years, but most humans will typically live a 10th of that if they are lucky. Even if the gods are at their side, humans will still only live a little more than a century. At the end of the day, however much we want to wish it, Caleb and Essek are *very* temporary. O'Brien even said it himself, "Knowing Caleb will be old and Essek will be Essek." They are very much temporary. Together in spirit and love, absolutely. But not forever.
