This one was a lot of fun to do. I realize now that Nott's kinda the main character of all the animatics I do, just cus Sam is so good at creating comedic moments (not to mention how great the rest of the group is at playing off each other).

Nott is interesting because she's really a pretty albeit nerdy halfling woman who was transformed into a hideous goblin girl. She's probably adorable by goblin standards, partially because her personality is so darn cute and she has such a sweet dynamic first with Caleb, then with Jester and the others. I thought she was a 10-14 year old child for the longest time until she said that she sees Caleb as her "son." Then, I realized she's not only an adult, but probably older than Caleb! She's still a cinnamonroll though, because of her personality 😊

More over Knott just completely lacks confidence in herself and can hardly hold a conversation. This was the case, regardless of her form.

@@bradenlittle3406 Fjord isn't the smarted book in the library though, sure Travis can flex a bit of intellect with his new character, but Fjord is not smart in the sense of impulse control. He's constantly doing things that he later looks back on with regret. Like stealing a ship, laying with a pirate, making a demonic pact with an otherworldly being. He's constantly telling other people why something is dumb, and then going and doing something equally dumb later. Which is what makes Fjord such an amusing character to watch, he is comedic irony if nothing else. That being said, Fjord is a great straight man to Jester and Nott's Shenanigans.

It's a good design. I like how she is super adorbs one sec but when she wants to be scary you see the skin stretch tight on her face and her features sharpen. I generally like it better when she is depicted scrawny and creepy cute, but this is an excellent balance.

But for most Demonic Tieflings and things like Mammon or Baalzebuul Tieflings, that is probably very far from the truth.

There's a lot of variety to the artist interpretation of these characters...for instance, Fjord is sometimes more heavily muscled, or Caleb has a heavier beard rather than a stubble. Nott has perhaps the most variety...either being more "ghastly" or more adorable depending on the art. This...is my favorite.
