I've never heard of these movies before, and based on this video have no plan to see them. Because any people stupid enough to sign legal documents without having them approved by an lawyer who knows the law of that genre are begging to get fucked. And people that stupid can't possibly make good movies. Then you have the genius decisions to film in 3rd world shit holes to save money. Clearly their entire research time of the locations consisted of them saying "I had an uncle who went to Egypt to see the pyramids many decades ago and he made it back alive, so I know for a fact that we will have no problems filming in Africa" and "I had another uncle who had a connecting flight in India on his way to Australia many decades ago and he made it back alive, so I know for a fact that we will have no problems filming in India".

First do a bit of research about the country and thereafter speak with the locals to scout locations that are safe and near the cities. It seems like the problems these filmmakers keep facing on both shoots could've easily been solved if they had talked to the locals or employed a fixer/guide to help them navigate the communities they wanted to film in. In both instances they just show up somewhere foreign and hope for the best without making any connections with local people. That seems like a stupid and arrogant approach to filming in an unfamiliar foreign country -and you know what they say about what kind of prizes you win when you play stupid games...
@lalli81525 жыл бұрын
They most likely had fixer type of people on set. I think these types of incidents still happen with them, but they can hopefully de-escalate the situation. Also they seemed to have local security personel since they had access to guns for safety of the actress.

On both shoots they said they literally just showed up and hired people. No prep or establishing relations with the locals. Just straight run and gun guerrilla style shooting.
