I'm originally from Seattle, and I can tell you that the old WW2 Naval Batteries, located on Whidbey Island, are the perfect location to film thriller/horror/ghost movies. The concrete bunkers are spooky enough during the day, but at night they have a hightened eerie air about them... Great video, as always, GBF! I look forward to the next one. Cheers!

So, I just watched the two of these, and they're very good Halloween movies. And yes, they definitely shouldn't be viewed in the same light as most 'found footage', since they definitely use atmosphere and pacing very well to deliver tension. Part of it's definitely the high production value of some of these attractions, the fact that they really are meant to be a little frightening and disorienting, so flying through them with only the first person perspective definitely brings the haunts to life better than those shown in a more traditional film (there are several 'Haunted House where people are being murdered' films out there, and none of those haunted houses ever feel like real haunted houses). Glad you turned me on to these, they were worth the watch.

I live in Washington, and I've been to that bunker several times before! It called Fort Worden. Its such a cool place to visit. Its pretty creepy, and a perfect place to set the movies climax! 100% approved on my end!

When my ex-wife and I lived in LA, a couple that we were friends with got married at the silent movie theater you showed. That place was so cool! We were in the wedding party, so got to go everywhere that regular guests don’t get to see, and were showed around by the projectionist/organ player (who would play live music during silent films). After the wedding, they had a showing of a few silent classics just for wedding guests, with live organ music and all. It was a great experience- thanks for reminding me of it- I haven’t thought about that in about 10 years! Edit: I wrote this comment while watching your video on “The Houses October Built 2”- I have no idea how it switched to this video, because now it makes no sense, me referring to something you said in a different video, not this one- what the fuck? Oh well-

I never thought of her as Coffin Girl. I think that the Haunts made sure we knew her name is Brandy in the first movie well enough. The first movie made me scared for two years, all during the clown scares. I was afraid to look out of my own windows, house or car. Not only did it have the commercial of Camden Park that I grew up with, but also my husband was deployed to Korea those years, so it hit me kind of hard. It just felt personal. I absolutely loved both movies by the way.
@SaturmornCarvilli6 жыл бұрын
I kinda liked the first movie at least well enough to see part 2. However, as much as I liked the first movie, it was equal to how much I didn't like the second. The fake tension of: will they, won't they get coffin girl to go to seemed a bit forced but was fortunately not too much of the movies run time. What was too much of the movies run time was basically professionally shot vacation videos of the locations the cast visited. While to some extent this what the first movie was as well, it didn't feel nearly as much like a travel log as the second movie did. It really didn't feel like just an episode of something you would watch of the Travel network. Most of the haunts the cast visit grind the little momentum the movie had going for it. The arrival to Hellbent was pretty good and probably the best part of the movie, but not nearly worth the price of admitting nor waiting through Halloween travel video to get to it. The ending felt a brainstorming idea M Night Shyamalan would have but ultimately reject to use as it didn't make a whole lot of sense and had almost no pay off. The ending was easily the worst part of this movie leaving me with so bad of a impression I don't think I will bother continuing with any future this movie series may have.

Hey can you explain B horror movies. I understood them to be low budget type, but since horror movies now are made with a bigger budget and are put out there to be taken as a serious movie now, like the newst IT movie, do those belong in the B horror list? Is there a sub genre of B horror as well? Like Nightmare on Elm is seen like a classic by many people, even those who don't get into B horror type movies but is that movie placed in the same list as lets say, Deep Blue Sea? Or Sharknado and Rubber? I had a small discussion with someone over this and I dont know. Is there an A List of B horror lol one of my all time fave movie is Tremors,

It's amazing to me how few of the people who saw these two films realized what they had seen. The first film's scares were arranged by Brandy's friends and only she wasn't told that the Blue Skeleton Group was working with them to help them get views and subscribers and. more importantly MONEY from KZbin. They needed her reactions to be "real" (in the world of these two films I mean. Of course, NONE of this is true in the REAL world._) Film 2 is the Blue Skeleton Group ratting out Brandy's friends TO Brandy and helping her get revenge and THIS time her friends ain't in on the joke.
