Long story short. Thanks to you introducing me to Ali express an the different lights you had in the R I was able to make my GTI look even better. With that being said I also got rid of my MK4 for a Pathfinder. I needed a family car. The GTI was my dream car and I regretted getting rid of it even with the problems I had with it. With the pandemic I was able to get back into a GTI and I honestly hope that’s the last car I ever own. But I’m super happy for you and your family and wish you the best.

damn you gave it away to carmax with those tail lights lip and other mods? ive wouldve taken em off and at least sold it to other vw enthusiasts. those tail lights are expensive

Yeah, I parted out whatever I could with the limited time I had. Yep those lights are amazing. Came with the car. Hope the next owner enjoys them along with the other tweaks and modifications I left on. You should look into it but I think already sold.

DSG is great but not fun just stepping on it! Golf R I may want when prices drop!!!!!Platform I wished it came in 2dr I would purchase in heartbeat but in 6speed manual! Guess 4dr new thing like civics and integra which is disappointing SEDAN only option and looking like old B8 8.5 Audi S4 just to add my 2 cents SMH.

Fair enough! Nothing like shifting your own gears.. but the weak clutch, throwout bearing, and sloppy gearbox in the MK6R lead me to the DSG. Never looked back.
