Really wish Halo 5 was more well received. Probably my favorite Halo game to play day to day, put so many hundreds of hours into it. Really sad it’s not the newest game anymore.

I have 2520 hours in the game, it so far has my favorite multiplayer. Sad that it’s over, it didn’t have a good start or ending but it sure as hell was fun with forge, custom games and even ranked.

Been playing Halo since the 1st one came out and I can say without a doubt, Halo 5 Multiplayer will always have a special place in my heart. Basically dropped Halo Multi soon after Reach but when 5 came out, it was on the daily grinding Warzone. I'll never forget my record, 75 kills, 6 deaths. And I remember I'll watch your starts to matches and once I started emulating that, it was a game changer. Good stuff as always

Even though I was first introduced to Halo through Halo 3 (which is a great Halo game to begin with if you have no idea what the franchise is about) the one I really connected with was Halo 5 Warzone.

The godlike TrueSkill2 matchmaking algorithm. Ranked matches in Halo 5 are so much closer than in previous Halos or in many fps games these days that don't prioritize SBMM. Also the well tuned weapon sandbox in which most weapons are relevant. "Perfect" from Jeff Steitzer Campaign level design combined with the advanced movement.

I used to wake up at 5am before highschool started to grind out the ranked playlists. Used to love FaceTiming my old flame while playing this game back then too. This game came in a very “coming of age” time of my life and I have a lot of emotions and very real tangible memories tied to this game. Halo 5 will always be one of those games I hold close to my heart even if other people hated It.

I played infection all day everyday in halo 5 since day 1! I played every single version that released, 1v9 entire lobbies being last man standing, and was a super deadly zombie, being able to easily infect everyone. I knew all the camping spots, rotations, weapon spawns, cheese strats u name it. What a time that was. Excited for halo infinites infection mode! I WILL be playing it all the time. But I am sad giving up halo 5, easily one of my fav halo games to date!

5 got unfairly crapped on. The campaign was bad but the multiplayer was some of the most fun in the Halo series. I enjoy and respect the fact that 343 pushed the envelope and created new experiences rather than just rehashing the same old thing or copying CoD.

Halo 5 might be the best multiplayer experience since Halo 2. Halo Infinite is great, but still feels very Beta. Don't really love the ranking system and customizations follow a certain pattern for everyone. Loved the REQ packs where you didn't know what you were getting. Also, assassinations were the best! Excited to see what Infinite comes out with next, but man, Halo 5 was amazing.
