I loved the Farewell ride, I definitely cried but also found it a really good workout and really enjoyed it. Her openness about her mental health struggles is really inspiring and I will really miss her content (although I’m glad it will still be on demand). I did her most recent pop punk ride today and she got emotional during that too, it was good but a bit of a different vibe at time to her normal pop punk rides although the playlist was 10/10. She’s my favourite, along with Bradley, so I’m really sad to see her go.

I wanted to take her most recent pop punk ride too but just ran out of time being home!! next time I want to go back and take it. I am worried about her content being on-demand as I feel like there are so many content purges that who knows how long we'll actually have her content :(. I do feel like Kendall will be very hard to replace, I absolutely love Bradley so he better not be going anywhere!!

My fave from Kendall was actually a 10 min arms and light weights Paramore 4/21/22 on the bike. So good 😊

I'm not a huge Kendall fan, so I'm not sad about her leaving but I do think she and Peloton have handled this separation very well. A lot of people are upset, but Peloton and the instructors have got to do what they have to do. She's a popular instructor and can demand a high contract, so i hope she does well on her own. I remember taking the Metallica class as my 50th ride! I took it on my non-Peloton non-magnetic resistance bike, so I just enjoyed myself. I wasn't following the callouts since I was still a new rider. I loved it because I love Metallica.

You obviously didn't take the class from June 12 - right before she announced. Not sure if it's still up - I'm surprised Peloton didn't pull it immediately. Take or just watch that class - the playlist, the running commentary - this was not an amicable parting.

yeah I assume that Kendall left because she wants to go back to the west coast.. I took her a decent amount and feel like she was hoping that a west coast studio would open up but that never happened. I'm surprised if you like Metallica you weren't into her metal rides!! I'm glad you enjoyed the Metallica ride more than me haha I was struggling!

@@EmmaAdamss I loved Kendall - favorite instructor by a long shot. But yeah, go back and take her June 12 class. It's not even remotely subtle - she seemed downright angry, possibly not just at Peloton management, and her commentary and playlist said it all. My guess is she didn't get what she wanted in the contract negotiations and decided to roll the dice and take advantage of whatever celebrity/social media status she had achieved at Peloton before her identity as a Peloton instructor was carved in stone forever. Good for her - hope it works out.

I havent had the chance to take the farewell ride, but Ive done so many of her heavy metal rides. It was suggested to take Charlottes rides and shes fantastic. My faves are still Leanne, Ben and Denis :)
@EmmaAdamss6 ай бұрын
yeah I'll have to check out Charlotte I'm excited! Hopefully she can fill some of the gap for me. Ben is my #1 on the bike haha, I would be so sad if he left!!

I took Kendalls farewell ride live. It was packed. Over 18,000 in the class. She did cry a couple times. ❤

yeah she's definitely a top instructor, she will be missed!!

Kendall's pop-punk metal classes were my only option, but her cheerful, blonde Barbie-like California girl demeanor and inauthentic anecdotes and stories were not relatable. Finding Charlotte Weidenbach, a German instructor who teaches in English and embodies the punk/rock/metal aesthetic and vibe and plays better pop punk music, has been a game changer for me. Would love to see her teach more classes in English and I think she can fill the void for those who like Kendall's Punk and Metal classes.

Charlotte is a recent find for me and I love her!

I'm going to have to check out Charollete!! I've never taken a ride from her since I thought she taught only in German, but I see she has some English classes as well. Thanks for the rec!! Def need some more pop punk rides to fill the Kendall gap

I worry about Peloton. It’s in heavy debt and hasn’t made a profit since 2020. If it gets taken private by a ruthless hedge fund, the talent might leave for more generous or more stable pastures. Peloton’s best bet now is to get bought by Apple Fitness Plus, but who knows how that might impact Peloton’s unique identity. In any case, expect more content creators to defect at the end of next year.

yeah very curious to see what happens to peloton - i absolutely love the platform so really hoping they manage to survive. I am curious to see how Kendall fairs w/o peloton - I just feel like consistently teaching classes is the best way to maintain her following. I feel like I don't follow any of the other peloton instructors that have left closely, and it's easier to get brand deals when still working with peloton but who knows

I like Kendall, but these last few months her personality has definitely felt a little off, so I'm assuming she's been thinking about leaving for a while. For high energy and great music, I've been continuing to gravitate to Camila, including for pop punk rides. You can tell that she actually was into the music when she was younger, which is similar to Kendall. It's always weird when instructors do rides to music you can tell they aren't even fans of.
@EmmaAdamss6 ай бұрын
yeah I have done a lot of pop punk classes with Camila as well and like her a lot! I agree about instructors doing random music rides, I love Matt Wilpers to death but not sure if he listens to any music haha because all of his rides are random music. definitely makes it a little less fun!
