ERRATA: At 8:56 I meant to say "C-c C-o" in order to follow links in an org-mode buffer. Also, I somehow forgot to mention this about links but you can also input them with the "C-c C-l" keybinding.

This is very useful, but how could I add spellcheck capabilities (for French, German) in org mode?

Thanks, Keep doing these great videos, It would be reference for emacs noobs and fans. Wow, Markdown using emacs, and that too we can using the same(source code) as text editor for programming. I assume markdown notes can be converted to Latex if we want.

There are actually a mode for markdown too in Emacs. Or you can export Org-mode to Markdown. Org-mode != Markdown. Org-mode > Markdown.

Hey thanks for the tutorial, but I can't see the org-basics.org file in your github repo anywhere. Where can I find it?

If I have understood the Org manual correctly ( see source here: orgmode.org/manual/ODT-export-commands.html#ODT-export-commands ), you can add this line to your .emacs: (setq org-odt-preferred-output-format "doc") This should globally set all your ODT exports (C-c C-e o) to generate .doc files by using .odt as an intermediary. You can also specify this on a file-by-file basis by adding these lines to the end of your buffer, saving and then reverting the buffer: ;; Local variables: ;; org-odt-preferred-output-format: doc ;; end:

Please use a color theme with a light background for your tutorials. Far better readable for your viewers.
