It's better for MatPat to go on his own terms than to fade away into becoming irrelevant like some creators. He's had a wonderful 13 years. He and his family truly deserve it. I'm gonna be a KZbinr myself, so I hope my generation of KZbinrs will make him proud.

I've thought about starting up too. Just don't know how really. I mean where do I even start kinda thing. I need immaculate gaming stuff or else I'm just irrelevant to start with. I have a PS5. Would anyone like to watch me play Final Fantasy or something? I mean it's just all so intimidating. I have a plethora of games and I don't know. I'm told I'm funny. I make everyone around me laugh almost constantly. I've. . . I just don't wanna be a flop and end up being hated. Damn. Now I'm pondering my life before nap time!

this genuinely fits incredibly well with the "i don't know what i'm going to do tomorrow" "how exciting"
This is even more sad because this was the last time Robbin Williams' character comes to life in the film (if you haven't seen the films, i guess you'll get no context to that), but this also the last time we see Robbin Williams in an acting role before he died. So not only is he saying farewell in-universe to Ben Stiller's character, but he's also saying goodbye to the rest of the world. Even ignoring the meme itself, it's already sad, but with the edition of MatPat it's 10x sadder 😭

This scene and Mr. Patrick's stepping back from being the driving force of the channels go quite well together. It does remind me of an earlier Williams film, Hook. Throughout the film, the villain, CPT Hook keeps insisting that "death" is the only adventure adults have left. At the end, Peter, portrayed by Williams, exclaims the opposite. "To Live, will be a great adventure."
