@@thwomp1542 I’m not sure the two are comparable lol but I personally found MK1 to be easier to pick up than both MKX and MK11. Combos/movement/playstyle are a lot more straightforward. No more having to microdash or run to do decent damage, as well as no more having to balance two types of meter instead of just one. Assists and upblocking versus needing to know 8 different types of defensive moves…simple breaker instead of having to worry about armor breaks. I could go on, but almost everything about MK1 feels easier to grasp early on than the last few previous MK entries.

seeing more people take a deeper interests in fighting games makes me smile. As this is the perfect time to jump in as a player. I play ranked in most but games adding other modes like world tour in sf6 and konquest in mk keeps the game interesting for casuals and as a way to destress after raging in ranked. Whats cool is Japan held a huge sf6 tourney with the biggest streamers and vtubers with a pro player on each team to coach. These are people who play DOTA Leauge FPS and again Vtubers who never play fighting games. Seeing them all train and grind ranked for weeks (some of them reached diamond and master rank) were exposing their audience to what makes fighting games so great. My fav was a Vtuber named Korone. she played a little SFV but as casual as you can be. She had coaches in the discord, chat helping her, and she even stuck it with classic controls and picked JP cause She played Dictator in SFV. JP is a hard character to learn and not beginner friendly at all. She stuck it out had her coaches help her and now she goes in ranked on her own and plays for hours while 30k cheer her on. This tourney brought in between twitch and youtube over half a mil in viewers. Id love to have Jev reach out to Ninjakilla, SonicFox, or Scar and have them coach him. This is a great time to be a fighting game fan and an even better time to learn so as someone in the FGC, we want to help you guys get better.

@@exozenith15 Devs usually use console devkits as a baseline benchmark for games and so most of the time with these AAA games, PC games are just ports of the console-developed game. Also most of the time, the PC ports are absolutely abhorrent upon launch (Cyberpunk 2076, Jedi Survivor, TLOU 1 Remake, etc) and it takes either a few days to weeks to get the game to a stable state. Pre-ordering in general isn't an amazing idea because a game is not immune to not working/sucking on console either, but it's just not a good idea for PC with how the other PC games have recently been.

Not to overanalyze dumb MK videos. But Jev did so many things right and I enjoyed watching him play it. He was right to cut out the gore, its hard to stay monetized and we know what they look like already.
