Ok this has bugged me since I watched the video and nothing ever really phases me except when Ms. Maria all but broke down and you can see her heart breaking, that has stuck with me if i knew how to get in touch with either of you I would instead I'll post it here lol.. Sooo I have a litter of akc blue german shepherds due in April, I would love to give ms. Don't let these two have another animal under their roof. They don't care about learning dog behavior and actually learning how to help their animals. At the first issue, they'd get rid of your/Maria's german sheperd pup. They would not neuter a male pup and he'd have dominace fights with the other unneutered males (just like happened with poor Shadow), and then they'd make another "We had no choice!" video when they get rid of him smh

I’m an animal behaviorist. “Litter mate syndrome” has to do less with the cognitive function of a pair of dogs and more to do with how they are raised and conditioned. Without instilling my personal opinion on the importance of spaying and neutering all pets to help in combatting the amount of shelter dogs that are euthanized daily, to have these boys neutered would very literally reduce testosterone levels and male typical aggression. In addition, preventative measures could have easily been taken to separate the boys when not closely monitored until a professional could step in and assist with training. There are clearly so many options that were left unexplored, and as much as I’m happy Shadow did not end up in a shelter, I’m heartbroken for Maria and very disappointed in your lack of judgement and responsibility.

Well they were gonna get rid of both of them and ultimately Maria (shadows owner) and them decided this route. In the end they only kept shadow because she loves him. However she actually works so she can't keep a close eye and make sure he doesn't attack. Maybe you are more than happy for them to had gotten rid of moon but they're not your dogs. You're not with them all the time and again they were going to get rid of them both.

I have two dogs from the same litter. There was a time when all they would do was fight and draw blood. It would happen so often that I was actually scared of them. They’re huge dogs they both weigh over 110 pounds so u can imagine how scary it was when they fought especially when I couldn’t really pull them apart. I would just yell at them to stop. We decided to get them fixed and that really stopped the fights. They’ve only had one or two very very very minimal fights since then. They now are the best boys and haven’t fought in a really long time. They get along really well and both love me.

Kim Watt I had the same problem. They would catch eyes and start fighting. It was daily... In the end , the only thing that helped was walking them daily..sometimes twice a day. When they would fight and I couldn’t catch them in time to separate. I would leave the room. I started to notice they would stop fighting after they noticed I left.

From the start it was always Moon. He's the one that was possessive. He's the one that attacked Shadow as a puppy and almost made him lose an eye. He's the one that was always snapping and growling at the other pups. When the situation went down with the eye they should've known not to keep both of them. They should've known that Moon was gunna be the problem. Now Maria has lost her dog because they didn't pay any attention to anything we were saying.

It’s a scary situation when dogs fight. But you could have had them neutered before you jumped straight in to re-homing Shadow. Most litter mate syndrome will slowly dissipate after that. But to each their own.

Do you guys remember when Maria CRIED over Shadow. She was heartbroken when she found out her was going to be sold, then he was given To her as a Christmas gift. Honestly I have a feeling that no one wanted moon. Seeing as everyone could watch his videos they could have picked up on the aggression and domanince he was showing and therefore not wanting to take him in seeing as that behavior would have needed to be altered by the next owners. So thinking about if having to chose between either of them of course shadow would have been the perfered option.
