Alaskan Malamutes are incredible dogs. Bringing one into your family is such a rewarding experience. The only downside is that their time with us feels too short. We always wished our Malamute could have stayed longer. But while she was with us, she filled our lives with love and left us with so many wonderful memories. We miss you every day, Luna.

I have an Alaskan Malamute. Got her 3 years ago when she was 9 weeks old. She LOVES puppies. Don't worry about Teddy being overly rambunctious, he won't hurt the pup. My Mal loves small dogs, but unfortunately challenges and fights big dogs, so I can't take her to off leash parks. Before the bad behavior, her best beach buddy was 17 pounds. It was a riot to watch them play together.

Smiling the whole time I watched. Thank you. I was waiting for this. It will be fun to see how they interact. I love how you introduced them. Too many times I've seen owners just let loose the older dog. The pup is scared half to death by overexcited and rambunctious adult. Here you demonstrate a very nice and calm way to start good relationships between animals where the pup can see the well behaved adult as an example rather than a giant to be scared of. I also appreciate that Teddy is smart enough and well behave enough to follow commands to treat the pup well.
