I'll never forget flying into TXL and having immigration and customs greet me _at the gate_ instead of further in. Talk about a different experience! I've only flown in and out once, but I love the compactness of the place. Thank you, TXL!

🇩🇪I ❤ Tegel AIRPORT. When the plane landed on🛬, we could see the old abandonned plane ✈🌳🌲and it was fast to have ours luggages🛍👜. This airport was modern and we can see the FERSEHENTURM. There were plenty of modern buses 🚐🚐🚐➡️🏙to down townand taxi drivers 🚕🚕🚕were polite. ..🎼."In Berlin an de eck von der KAISER ALLEE"🎶🎵. Çà me fait bizarre que cette aéroport soit fermé😘.

The main terminals will be used for a college campus while the rest might be developed into a tech park or commercial space.

They could fully demolish this airport or demolish (or rebuild) terminals or even making on this airport an aviation museum (just like in Krakow, where, in 1960's, aviation traffic was moved to Balice, today, unfortunately, there's an problem during it's expantion, because near the airport area is the cementery located in the nearby village called Morawica (owned by an church) and MT Technologies' HQ (located in the former road to the same cementery), flight operation should be moved to Pobiednik airbase or to the another existing passengers' airport in this area (in this case, Katowice-Pyrzowice airport)).

Airfrance was the first airline to ever land at Tegel so they got to be the last to take off "Air France was the inaugural carrier into Tegel back in 1960,"
