Big fan of the Hotrod hippie and recently came across to the 3d printing channel in the last 6 months. Excited to see the bare bones plans and fit out of the new workshop - it was pretty nostalgic to see this episode, I really enjoyed the episodes when you first moved to Philly. Its how you inovate and realise potential in things that always brings me back to your channels- cheers dude

Oh wow, that's quite a move! I hope it has all gone well already? It was awesome that I got to meet you and visit this shop once, and I'm looking at around 9:32 and wondering if yellow Matco box, 3rd half drawer down on the left is those red hammers for auto body work that you once explained all about to me. Hope everything you didn't take with you found a good home.

One takeaway from the extended tour was that I am glad I'm not the only one who's shop looks like this haha! At times I feel like a straight up hoarder with pathways made to get through all the stuff that's accumulated on every possible horizontal space. Slowly working my way into organizing it so there's a cohesive workflow but it's definitely a challenge.

Regarding the resin smell, Matterhackers has a resin that isn't epoxy-based. I use my SL1S a lot more often now that I don't need to actively avoid fumes from it. It's a bit harder to use- you need to let it cure longer, and idk how well a standard lifting bed would do vs the Prusa's tilting vat, but I find it works well.

Really impressive studio/shop, cool to see bits of previous videos scattered around. I saw the Ender 3 V3 on the old workbench, is that ever going to make a return after all the problems found on it during the setup stream?
@MandicReally
@MandicReally 7 ай бұрын
I actually just gave away the Ender 3 V3. It ended up being a wiring issue. The person I gave it to fixed it and gave it to a family member as their first printer. I just did not have time to mess with it for a video or stream unfortunately. And it irritated me too much to want to. ha

Mixture of both but the tools are of course primarily from when I worked on cars. Which taught me to invest in my business heavily. Not the healthiest mindset most likely.
