TEXT... why is MidJourney not improving their ability to render text... it is mind-blowing... but it is what it is... once MJ has REAL text ability then I may be coaxed into coming back... but honestly... I hear you! I'm working with Dalle3 a lot more these days, too. I just can't quite get MJ's artistry. But if I want text - I go straight for ChatGPT/Dalle3! Word is that version 6 will be better. But what I hear coming out of weekly office hours is mixed. I'm not sure MJ really cares that much about the text - despite it being requested repeatedly! I'll let you know as soon as I see v6.

@@snuwan I tend to agree with you there for MidJourney seems to know art styles way more comprehensive.... Dall-E just doesn't seem to have been trained as much on the many various styles there is in the art world... but that being said... Happy to see this development by MJ, Thank you for sharing your insight. I found Discord a real hassle. After a mix up between two accounts and days trying to resolve it, I finally threw the towel in and cancelled my MJ subscription. Will be interesting to see how MJ evolves in the future.

Thanks, Jen for your detailed video. But there is an option to describe the pictures. When you upload the picture, hover it and press the "i" icon it will make something like the description function. I don't know if it is the final version of the description or if it will be enhanced later. It gives you tags you press to make the prompt and links for the artist's pages like the description feature in Discord and there is a button for refreshing the description prompt. Hope it helps.

That’s a good way to do it. I think I’ve made about 7 so I’m in the waiting until it’s released to the noobs camp but I’m glad it’s released to people who’ve put in loads of time on the discord first.

Discord will not allow me to resolve an issue of two accounts which I inadvertently created and lost the password because my browser did not record it when I thought it had. When I attempted to reset by email so that I could cancel one of the accounts they froze the process. They are losing income from me because of the projects I am involved in.

They did a great job with the website. But we need the describe function ASAP. The only one thing i like in discord is, the ability to create as many servers as you want to group and organize your creations. I wish they can do similar thing with the website.

Really good point about the servers! David has been resisting the idea of folders and organization, but in last week's office hours he did talk about folders coming out soon. Fingers crossed!

@@MakingPhoto by the way, I just saw another video that the describe function is there. If you select an image like you did to blend. At the bottom of the image there is an info icon. When you click it, it will show you all the key words. What is even cooler is you can click on any of the words and it automatically add it to your prompts box :)

Thanks for the info...I'm a newcomer (10 day of generating), I just couldn't get what the heck is that with the famous MJ! I'm not going to use a chat sofware for AI imagining, lol...so I hope they take the right steps now because I have to agree that MJ makes the best images I've ever seen, after generating 1600 scifi pics. Give us the mighty MJ in a web format! 🙂

Any aspect ratio can be typed into the box next to the sliders. Describe is available by hovering over an uploaded image and clicking the info symbol.

Thanks for a great video. MJ desperately needs a file structure. What's the point in generating thousands of images if you can't find anything or sort images into job lots or categories? As good as it is, MJ is all form and no function. This new alpha website is a positive step forward.

First video I recently started using AI and AI image generators like this one here. I really enjoy the possibilities and the options. I write comic books and though I do a lot of the writing myself, I rely a lot on these types of tools for concepts. One of the things that frustrates me the most about these tools be that chat GPT or this one is their memory is limited. I would like to create a tool or hope that mid journey will add a tool where I can use it for character development for example, if I create a man with a mohawk and blue lipstick and I name him Joe, I would like to provide details for Joe and save Joe to a folder now every time I mention. Joe, it will render an image of Joe. That way Joe can look the same but become alive in my story. Maybe Joe is on a motorcycle. Maybe Joe is swimming with dolphins. Maybe Joe is eating a hot dog and Joe will have a best friend. His best friend is named Craig. Craig has long hair and dark skin. Will it remember? Craig, I have tools around with this and it does to some degree but it would be great if you could create character profiles and use them for future images as you continued

So I was just testing it out and then went back to Discord . I assume that since it is beta the images generated don’t exist? Cause I went and looked for them and I have no idea where they are. Playing around on my phone is not the best way to test it. Going to look some more tomorrow. I sure hope we are able to make folders and categories. Anyone who’s been here for a while is using some kind of a system to find things. I have over 35,000 images and I have an elaborate filing system that is still hard to manage. If that isn’t implemented I will be staying on Discord

The image created on the Alpha website go into your regular Midjourney gallery. Just like you created them in Discord. Folders would be great! Or even tags, I don't mind. Just some sort of organization.

Yes. I mentioned in the video that MJ plans to open up the website to other MJ users - by default these are all currently on Discord. In the future, MJ may open this up to new users, but there is a concern that new users will miss out on the culture and community of MJ on Discord. I'll let you know if this opens up to new users in future.

This is still in testing. 10,000 is arbitrary, but these creators have a lot of knowledge about MJ. Hopefully, the website will start rolling out to more creators, soon.

I stopped Mijourney, because SDXL is offline on my PC and much better than Midjourney because I can train it on whatever I need and it costs exactly nothing.
