Good job picking plants to declutter! I impulsively declutter all the time. This weekend I just chopped the top three nice big fenestrated leaves off my monstera deliciosa and stuck them in water to hopefully prop and gave the rest of the plant away. Made so much room, and someone got a free, nice plant.

Love this video, I'll be doing the same. Just got too many again (about 150) and find that I dread cleaning and decorating because there are too many plants to move around. I just bought another IKEA display shelf so my plan is to to go around the house and place all the plants I plan to sell, gift, rehome on that shelf until they sell. It's in my bedroom so I'll get to enjoy the plants until they find new homes, and on the chance I find I cant part with a particular plant (or plants) they will go back out in the main rooms. I'm definitely a plant hoarder too

Good selection to get rid of. I get bored with some plants as well and give them away! I would propagate the dischidia to make it fuller instead of letting it trail. The Burton’s a is pretty when it becomes a larger plant. I agree no need to have anything in your collection that does not do it for you. I will be getting rid of a burro tail. Not sure why I even purchased it. 🙃

I think your doing well, if a plant doesn't spark joy and just taking space then you need to get rid of it. I watched you go on plant shopping but doesn't want to buy plants that you like because you don't have space 😔 So you are really doing the right choice by getting rid of your unloved or unwanted plants and soon you'll get your love and wanted plants 🤞💚🌿 Good luck

Hahaha I am not a fan of the strings. Surprisingly, my Hoya obscura is yellowish colour and it does have some Sun stressed. The leave shape is different from yours. Yours is just super dark green. My is yellowish light green. The leaves also a lot thicker. Maybe there is different variety perhaps. I am not an Ivy fan either. My taste has changed since. I am no longer love ficus lyrata which was the only thing in the whole wild world I want to grow hahaha

Ange I don't think that Hoya was a Obscura... It just didn't look like one to me... maybe why it didn't sun stress??? It wasn't veiny like the Obscura. And the leaf shape and size was different.

I can’t keep begonia rex alive. 😢 I watched summer rayne oake’s one of episode with steves leaves’ begonia care tip. Apparently, cane like begonias are easier to take care.

You are all over the place with that video. Typical plant parent problem - make the needed cuttings, then can't toss them so they get propagated. Then you have to find someone to take them. Then there is the Peperomia - you love it but don't like the ivy that looks very similar. If there is s mistake is getting rid of the Dischidia - you are out of room, so you are going to get rid of the small plant and replace it with a bigger plant that takes up even more space.. For your Hoya that you can't get to sun stress I think I would just slowly move it into more and more sun until it either does the sun stress or dies on you. If it works you get what you wanted. If it dies well you did get rid of the plant in a noble effort.

Then, there is the part where she stated that, some just don't bring her joy! Why keep something that doesn't bring any value to your life? Then there is the part where she said she would leave them outside for someone who would possibly give the plant a new home! Your environment, your space, your time! Peace of mind looks different for everyone, so if this gives you that, then more power to you!

@@plantyange oh that’s good to hear that your giving it to your mum. I thought u we’re gonna just throw it out. Although leaving it outside your appt for someone else to pick up isn’t a bad idea either! Lol
