Today is all about my top favourite hoyas in my plant collection. As hoyas are one of my favourite plant families it was really difficult to narrow it down to five. But these are definitely my recommendations if you are looking to add some Hoya babies to your plant collection.

The Hindu rope & Obavatas!!! Oh I died and went to heaven!! 🤩❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 You give them good nutrition, and the Hoya plants shows that they are getting 💯 awesome treatment!! Ange!!! slow and steady is always good, don’t worry!!

I had a lot of blooms blast on my Hoya until I realized that they need more water during flowering! Don’t know if it’s your issue but watering before the soil completely dried out solved mine 😊🪴 Your Hoyas are gorgeous!! 🤩 Finlaysonii is one of my current favs too - my tiny rooted cutting is finally growing 🙌

Except this doesn’t seem to work for Macrophylla. Mine freaked out when I started upping the water to keep the blooms. It’s dropped every new growth that it had. Just sharing because not all Hoyas behave the same and I wish I hadn’t changed my watering methods for this one.

❤️ the Queen won my heart. I love obovata, bought a big hanging one from Newtown Garden Market. They are the best place for getting Hoya. My has a peduncle which has been unchanged for months. I heard that you should not move it around, especially after they produce peduncles. They also need bright indirect light. I love veiny Hoya. Their prices are just out of my touch for now. I can wait, I have no rush. Hehehe

Just got my first hoya (pubicalix)! Love it, it's so sturdy and pretty! I'd get more hoyas, but they're not easily found in the big box stores here in Las Vegas.

I have a Hoya Round leaf Finlaysonii... they look different...I'm into Round and rounded leaf Hoyas so I prefer the Round leaves...

Hoya Bella and obovata are my current faves. Australis and Publicalix Splash are my fastest growers

Thanks. I loved your care tips. I’m in a Sydney too but I have been able to go out to Bunnings for supplies. So glad we have our plants and pets! My favourite Hoya is my publicalix. I have a few different types.

I just bought that curlywurly hoya ☺, at first I thought it was so ugly but with second thoughts, I think it will look so interesting if it gets more bushier, and longer.

I heard that a few times, that the variegated Hoya compacta grows faster so maybe its a thing

I would say any Hoya carnosa would be a great choice to start with! That would include the Hindu rope, Queen, Princess etc 😃😃

Most Hoyas need bit more water when in bud. So don't let it go bone dry while it's growing flower buds. Good luck!

I've learned... if your buds are dropping before they open up, it's usually inconsistent watering. When in growing season you will need to water more often, it will drop the buds first when it's dehydrated. Growing season: more energy: more 💧🚰🚿
