The kid touched on it... "...Mary was a vessel..." No more, no less. She is not reigning in heaven. She is in a heavenly place performing a function, as ALL believing saints are (Eph 2:6), but she is saved, like all believers, through the blood and name of Jesus.

Joseph is Jesus' adoptive father - not a step father (Jesus is not a son from another marriage) or a foster father (Jesus is not with Joseph temporarily until a family adopts Him). Joseph is Jesus' adoptive father - he is His father here on earth.
