Well...I remember. I remember getting a ticket to see Coheed playing the Pyuallup Fairgrounds in 20...10? On tour with Brand New. And you couldn't hear your guitar. After going back and forth with hand gestures to the sound guy for about 3 songs, during the second "Claudio Solo" on Welcome Home, you walked over to your amp and turned the fuckin volume knob all the way up LOL. Such a legendary moment in my mind. I will never forget it.

One way people express their understanding of the person they are speaking with is by sharing their similar experiences, and then tying it all together to build the conversation. While I agree that he did discuss a lot of personal things, I felt it was a lovely conversation between two grown men/fathers/musicians, that the rest of us are simply lucky to witness. Us consumers are too quick to criticize rather than appreciate. Not everything has to be exactly what the consumer wants. It’s like one of the points made in this conversation. Artists will create things that are sometimes simply meant for themselves. maybe they lose out on monetary gains but the experience was meaningful and important to them.

Joel is a terrible interviewer. I clicked on this to hear Claudio, because he doesn’t do podcasts very often. And he’s said maybe 10 sentences this entire hour. This is very frustrating
