I use both and the Huawei wins by far, it is very practical and much faster, the pencil is much more useful, although it does not feel like a real pencil, it is not necessary because you get used to it quickly, it is not a big deal, one prefers more that the device is useful to give you a feeling of being a real book ...... Then the loading speed as well as the download speed is quite fast, the loading speed of the pencil is very fast and with only 5min of loading of the pencil you already have to use it for 5 hours easily. Note-taking on the Huawei far outperforms the Kinddle. In Kinddle it has a more polished system in sight to order books, but it seems to me that everyone looks for these Tablets with a pencil for the utility of the pencil, and in that Huawei is undoubtedly better. There are applications that you can download in Huawei to access books beyond just amazon or you can access applications like world, excel, or powerpoint from the Matepad paper. In short, the Kindle is only good for reading on Amazon, in everything else the Huawei almost always surpasses it.

I really don't think the huawei pencil is such a big problem. Not being compatible with wacom-pencils is a downer but the huawei pencil is included and the charging isn't an issue at all. The pen charges really fast and since you just need to place it on the side to do so, you'll probably never run out of battery. Also since you can install the kindle app on the matepad paper, the book store and reading experience is just as good. Huawei's native bookstore is probably only properly usable by the chinese audience.

To the average fair weather user, no it is not a big deal, You buy this product, you hold the pen in your hand, you draw on the surface, done. It's like somebody driving a Chevy cruze, "it's a car" But when you're in our industry, it is a huge deal To have a pen that feels terrible, the tips don't last forever, the battery drains, there's no eraser at the back, there's no secondary or tertiary button, it needs to be connected via Bluetooth, and it needs to be synchronized, and you can't use it on any other device... These are gigantic issues in the world of Wacom pens, emr, active capacitive, etc. It is a massive deal if you look at it the way we are looking at it We really do appreciate your comment :-)
@georgvonrechenberg2217
@georgvonrechenberg2217 Жыл бұрын
@@goodereader thanks for your answere :) How a pen feels is kind of subjective - so I'll Just give you that point. If you don't like it, you're stuck with it and having no choice is a bad thing. But it's worth to mention that other reviewers who are heavily into ereaders and note taking as well liked that pen. But the charging and bluetooth connection really isn't an issue in every day experience. The connection works seamless and unless you're taking notes multiple hours nonstop - which just isn't a realistic scenario - you won't have problems with the battery. I still see your point: wacom compatibility would be better. But only for a niche in a niche this will be a dealbreaker. There are nickel coated tips available for the m-pencil. I'll try them - perhaps they'll get rid of the rubberly feel of the default tips.
@goodereader
@goodereader Жыл бұрын
Yeah for sure, you seem to have a good grasp on the situation, in our industry and for our job we have to nitpick, It wouldn't be enough as reviewers and journalists to just say "yeah it's fine" Because in reality, comparing to something like an onyx which is free to use anything, or a Hyread , or King Jim, the Huawei is one of the most restrictive epaper devices when it comes to taking notes and has little to no cross-compatibility with anything else on the market
@nicolasrivero4768
@nicolasrivero4768 Жыл бұрын
@@goodereader 1st_ the Huawei eraser is touch-sensitive, you don't have to turn the pencil to erase, you can erase faster, and with certain applications you can configure the button to do other things than just erase, if you had tried it with other apps you would have noticed that it has several customizable features. 2nd_ Why would you want your pencil to work with other Ebooks? It's weird to demand that of a light pen. Many times you don't need to synchronize the pencil since you don't always use it, and having it synchronized always uses up battery, that is, you should test the battery life of both tablets to see which one runs out faster, in the Kindle try it with the pencil (According to you, it does not use up battery, although according to science it does, Wacon pens transfer energy in a similar way to wireless charging) and on Huawei try it without the pen and on another occasion with the pen to see if there is a difference. You should also test the loading speed. But in general the huawei pencil charges fast and will always be charged if you have it attached to the Ebook. 3rd_ Is it really more important that the pencil feels like a real pencil? Or is it more important that the pencil be more practical and useful? 4th_ The tip of the pencils wear out, it doesn't matter which pencils, the KINDLE pencil wears out because it has contact with the screen, and that friction reduces the tip of the kindle and huawei pencil, it is inevitable that all the pencils wear out, and the replacement of the Huawei is not expensive, what is expensive is the complete pencil, but the replacement tips are not expensive.

I like how the Huawei has smaller bezels. If kindle ever comes out with an oasis (page turn buttons) that is a little bigger, maybe 8", and supports notes I may get it. 10.2" just seems unnecessarily large for reading to be its primary function.

The best part about the Kindle Scribe, to me, is COMPETITION! Even though Amazon's software may be lacking at the moment, more companies entering the e-ink space will hopefully lead to more innovation across the board. Great video!

The reading experience on kindle is the best, but Amazon didn't give us the software update for the notebook feature that we deserve on the kindle scribe. Huawei Matepad software system seems nice but the hardware is not good enough such as the pen and the screen ppi. In conclusion, it's hard to decide which products to choose and that makes me mad is that the technology is there but all the company is just somehow missing all the opportunities to make the perfect products.

The United States government has never presented evidence of what it accuses Huawei, most of the countries in the world have not found evidence of it either, in fact no country has presented evidence, so most of the countries that do not obey The US still works with Huawei. All companies in the United States access your data only if they have permission to share it but if they use it to sell you products. The United States government can access that data if they want, since there is a law that allows them to do so if they consider you a risk. If your country has prohibited Huawei, you should find out what evidence they found because as of today there is still nothing. just baseless accusations
