Welcome or welcome back to my channel! I'm here with another COPYRIGHT movie reaction release that some of you may or may not have had the opportunity to see. I am watching a film that I'm sure a lot of people have already seen, so I am super late lol.. This movie had a lot excellent actors in it that I was not aware of which made it even more enjoyable to watch.. I'm sure this film made a lot people want to be a gangster back in the day. There was a ton of betrayal in this and you I didn't know what to expect next. You will see in my reaction how much fun I had watching this.

Such a classic! Ray Liotta got a phone call while filming this, he found out his mother was diagnosed with cancer. In an interview he described his reaction as anger. The next scene he filmed after that call was when he walked up to the guy across the street and pounded his face in with a gun. That look on his face as he walked over.... that's kinda legit lol.

You’ve got to watch “The Departed” another gangster Scorsese film from 2006. I think it won a couple of Oscars. Stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Mark Whalberg.

Myself and my friends went to see Donnie Brasco on opening night but it was sold out which was fortunate for us because a little gang banger ended getting shot during a scene that involved gun shots. Just perfect timing. Killed in the front seat. Crowd went nuts trying to get the fuck out of dodge after they realized it wasn't part of the movie. The hitman ran out the way he came in which was out through the exit that was jarred open for him to make his move. My co-worker's nephew was there that night though. That's how I learned about details like how the hitman was running back to the exit still shooting at the victim and miraculously not hitting anyone else.

A few fun facts about this movie; - Joe Pesci's performance of Tommy is based on a real guy that worked with the real Henry Hill. Unlike the movie, the real Tommy was built like a football player and was even worse of a person. - Tommy's "Funny how?" rant is based off an encounter Joe Pesci had with a real mobster as a young man. - The old lady that plays Tommy's mum is actually Martin Scorcese's mother. She showed up one day and hit it off with the crew so she stayed as a bit part. Her lines are also completely ad-libbed by her.

They did another movie (very loosely)based on Henry Hill, called My Blue Heave. It was made as a comedy with Steve Martin. It was about him going into the witness protection program. Needless to say, Henry Hill didn't care for it.

The funny thing about the Air France robbery that they do in this movie Henry Hill literally stated the reason that they stole the amount of money they did is because he found the biggest suitcase that was there and filled it full of money

I liked Paulie too he warned Henry NOT to continue in narcoti but he went behind his back drew too too much heat 🔥 Henry should have accepted the responsibility and did his time he wanted to be a gangster and this came along with it Tommy killing Batts took a turn for the worse over something verbal . Henry's father tried to warn him and in the end it almost cost him his life if he hadn't snitched a snitch means you can't be trusted but at at the same time his life was at stake His dad whooping him could've spared his path but it was hopeless Karma is real but Henry got a second life due to Witness protection program

Paulie is as much a criminal as everybody else and it was do or die for Henry towards the end. I'm not really taking anyone's side I'm just trying to observe all perspectives.

i don't agree with how Henry handled it in the end but he really had no choice Jimmy was gonna kill him he killed the whole crew already. Maybe Henry could have ran with his wife and kids but he could a find him probably. Also the snitching on Paulie was messed up especially since Paulie was good to him even after he screwed up.

I've watched 10 seconds of this... And I'm on my 5th forced pop up advert from YT within those 10 seconds. Wtf?! Here's a 15 second advert you can't skip, followed by another 5 second advert you can skip... 3 seconds after the video starts again, it pops up ANOTHER 2 adverts I can't skip past each being about 5 seconds long. Then back to the video for 5 seconds before popping UP ANOTHER damn advert. I'm 10 seconds into this video and have been forced to watch about 1 minute worth of adverts doing so Screw KZbin.

the brilliance of this film is the way it shows all the different personality types connected to the mafia- and not all of them are gangsters. if you watch interviews with former gangsters like sammy the bull, they explain the two basic different types- morrie is a racketeer. he is not a violent man, he runs schemes and rackets. in his particular case, his problem is that he mistakenly believes he is on the same level as real gangsters, and morrie can't read the room and tell when his life is in danger. henry is also a racketeer. then you have a gangster like tommy who is a thug. the real rare type combines elements of both- paulie and jimmy, they can both run profitable schemes and are comfortable using violence. the fact is most gangsters including the made ones aren't really profitable and entrepreneurial; only very few in that life are capable of running profitable schemes, they can almost be legitimate businessmen on the outside if they were to go legitimate. outside of those two basic types are everyone else, who are neither really gangsters nor racketeers, they are along for the ride and do the minimal to get along and survive- an example is carbone. he is not a violent thug, he is disturbed by the violence and only seems to go along with it for lack of any alternative. nor is he a racketeer- he is not masterminding any money making schemes. he basically does what he is told, sometimes begrudgingly and often nervously. not being really either, he is disposable when push comes to shove and they wack him after the lufthansa heist

2 things, its come out that Pauly was fucking Karen over the years. theres a spiritual sequel called "my blue heaven". it was written by the wife of Good fella's writer. she had all the notes from the interviews with Henry hill, its about his time in witness protection.

If you want to see a movie where Robert De Nero's acting is top shelf, check out the movie "Awakenings" from 1990. He was nominated for best actor in that role and the movie was a true event. I am simply blown away by his acting every time I watch that film. Love the channel Devin G! Been a subscriber for a while. Keep up the great work.
