Processed does not automatically equal bad. Most foods need some sort of processing in order to be digestible, just cooking something turns it into “processed” food. Don’t conflate her heating up some soy crumbles as the same thing as eating a bag of Doritos for dinner.

@@Bee_lze_bub calm your turnips, nothing here is a conflation. it's as evident as what she herself says in the video, she ate junk food as is the case. ofc processed doesn't equal bad but also if you knew what it takes to make store bought soy crumbles, or any of the many ingredients in her "junk food" you wouldn't be commenting this. the only "down side" i see for the junk food vegan is that her diet must be quite expensive. eating some of those mock meals like vegan cheese, vegan bacon, soyrizzo, vegan butter, vegan supermarket precooked meals and vegan wings everyday isn't economical or sustainable. also not very accessible in other parts of the world if she plans to travel to other places and still practice that sort of vegan diet

If u are vegan and out of ideas what to eat something new. I suggest you eating some lentil curry/ soup. With very simple and minimal ingredients which is authentically made in my country. I sharing the recipe ideas anyone's interested *Ingredients:* -Boiled lentils -Tomato -Onion -Red chili powder - turmeric -Garlic cloves/powder (I -suggest cloves for some fresh aroma) -Ginger garlic paste -Green chilies Note: Ginger garlic paste and chillies are optional but in Indian household we never miss that for some aroma You can increase or decrease the number and amount of spices according to ur taste. Direction: add 2-3 tsp oil add ur ginger garlic paste and cook for a few secs until you add tomatoes then let it soften under a lid on low flame. Then mash this bad boi. Then u can add all the spices I mentioned and the boiled lentils. Add some desired amount of water. It's usually bit on a thicker side but it doesn't matter. And voila we're done! I didn't mention any quantity of each item as u can simply vary it according to taste and serving sizes. Remember it's not a sensitive recipe that can get spoiled if u don't add the right amount of ingredients. Enjoy!

So many ways to eat a plant based diet while living an ethical vegan lifestyle! Great video.
@tylerheinrichs28063 жыл бұрын
If your reasons for going vegan are ethical, doing your homework about where and how your food was grown is vital. Many crops have a disproportionately bad impact on the environment because of various factors, such as how much water they require or how much energy was used to ship them. It is possible for a vegan to have a larger carbon footprint than someone who eats meat if you aren't careful. Just saying, the diets featured in this video might not be as ethical as they appear.

@rebeccamartin18583 жыл бұрын
@@Marta_is_here it's not necessarily that strict. That's one way to go about it but the amount of carbs you can eat and stay in ketosis is different for everyone. If you're in ketosis, that's all that matters.

@@rebeccamartin1858No, that’s literally the definition of keto. (70/25/5) The ketogenic diet is used therapeutically predominately for children with epilepsy. Then picked up by diet culture because of the whole weight loss thing. So, I can tell you, as a licensed holistic nutritionist what a keto diet is. A high fat, low carb diet is not by definition “keto”. It’s HFLC. Two different things. It’s just that the word keto has become an easy word to use because saying HFLC is a mouthful. It (the word keto) is being used wrong. You are making up your own definition. Being in ketosis is fine for you, you can be in ketosis doing HFLC 😉

Besides all the other eating disorders, compulsive "healthy eating" ist also one, called orthorexia (so for those with fear of sugar, fats and wheat flour bread)

About a year ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS.For several years, I had gained a lot of weight, felt tired, and had problems with anxiety. I had tried other diets but never managed to stick with them in the long term.After doing some research on PCOS, I came across an article about keto and found the motivation to give low carb a try. I wanted to improve my lifestyle and health and going keto definitely did.

I hope the keto vegan researches into health, would suggest ‘how not to diet’ but Micheal Gregger. High fat diets never work for long term weight loss, they keep you on a yo-yo and cause deficiencies, as well as leaving you unsatiated. What she was eating was relatively healthy, apart from the oil the other fat sources weren’t bad, like the avocado and peanuts, reducing the fat and protein and adding in healthy carbs would make for her to lose more weight. Also when she said ‘you can never get enough protein’ that’s actually not true, it puts excess strain on your liver. We don’t actually need that much protein (unless you’re some kind of body builder) it’s just brainwashing by the meat and dairy industry, eat enough calories and you’ll get enough protein.

Please do more Keto or Low Carb vegan and vegetarian foods! I am a carnivore and I struggle to find things to eat besides salad and veggies without using meat!

I think it will be good if you try the format like in the A.T.E in this kind of video so all of you can talk and share when presenting your food

Only been vegan for a month and it’s been a bit difficult to balance because I have nut allergies and severe gluten intolerance. Ive just been eating salads and smoothies or roasted veggies lol.

Vegan and gluten free is a real struggle. I've found a few meat replacements that made my life easier. The soy chorizo from trader Joe's is amazing, I also really like the garden black bean burgers that are gf. It's good to have a few things on hand that you can throw together. I've been doing a lot of sauteed or air fried tofu or roasted chickpeas on my salads. I like to make a chia pudding with whatever milk you want but add flax seeds and hemp hearts!

@@rebeccamartin1858 thank you! I’ve found actual burgers are great and I love the soy chorizo from TJ as well. I think an air fryer would help immensely. App register the feedback and wish you a great day!💕✨
