So happy it went well, ive organised charity nights for Woman's Aid, and helped organise community crafting events in the past and I 100% understand the time and energy it takes to organise such things...so well done to both you & Lisa for pulling off a clearly successful event 🪴💚 I will definitely be travelling down from Scotland for the next one !! 🤗

Really enjoyed this video. Plant swaps are great to help you expand your plant collection. And also meeting other plant parents. Would be so nice if we had one here to go to. But i feel there aren’t many plant enthusiasts where i am. Wow the Philodendron Black Lord looks amazing the leave size and the dark colour leave. The Hoya Macrophylla is one of my favourite Hoya’s and the Mathilde aswell.

Good times! You had great swaps! And I’m sure everyone enjoyed theirs too! Is a monstera large form just a mote mature plant?
@GoodGrowing2 жыл бұрын
so some monsteras sold as deliciosas will never grow the large leaves and multiple rows of fenestrations because they've been bred to fenestrate smaller or to vine more... I think it just depends on the plant you get, which is kind of annoying. So if you want the large form, I suggest buying one with large leaves already

Omg I can't wait for my plant swap the 23rd of April 2023 it's my first one so I wanted to ask u for tips what's the best way to wrap up an unrooted cuting in thinking moss and cling film to wrap the unrooted ones and then the ones just put the in soil in a pot ❤️💓☺️😊
@GoodGrowing Жыл бұрын
omg yay that's sooo exciting! I tend to wrap in wet towel or damp sphagnum moss for either rooted or unrooted. Anything that I have in pots already stay in pots 😉 enjoy!

Plant swaps seem like such a great idea! How do they actually work?
@GoodGrowing2 жыл бұрын
I've been to a couple that do things differently but at ours it was a barter based system where if you wanted a plant someone was offering you could say "I'll trade you this for that" and they could agree or not or say "how about mine for two of yours" kind of thing. So you got to decide whether or not you wanted to make each trade which was great.
@Interstellrplanter2 жыл бұрын
Unknown hoya is def a wayetii, ill be going to a plant swap on the 15th and I’m so excited. It’ll be my first

Don't trust people 😋 this person gave me free cuttings as thanks for some cuttings I was giving away from my syngonium three kings. Her cuttings had thrips. I mentioned it to her as a service in case she didn't know and she said nooo she has been treating all her plants with beneficials...but yea she eventually tracked down the source of the thrips. 🤷♀️
