I just love plant people and how fun and friendly we all are, and what we share between all of us, it's a great community to be a part of. I’ve only been to one plant swap, and it was awful. When you walked in the door you turned your plants over, and then got one ticket for each plant you brought. After everyone showed up and got their tickets, all the plants were laid out on tables, and when the swap started everyone started going for the plants they wanted- one plant for one ticket. It was a mad rush for the rare plants, although most of what was there was very common. I hated it since I had no control of what I swapped for. I brought rare plants, and left with spider plants, pothos and lipstick plants. I won’t go to another one like that- it was a horrible idea.

Basically, you walk around before everything starts and check out what everyone has. When trading starts, you go to the person you want to trade with (so that's why its important to put your name on your plants) and tell them "hey, I'm interested in x plant and would love for you to check out my spot point at spot if you want to trade anything!

Fun video but I kind of wish you added subtitles to the parts with loud background noise. Several people I couldn't hear anything they said. Aslo at the beginning of the vid you also said you learned some important things about plant swaps but you didn't tell us what they were..

Never been to a plant swap...now I really want to go to one. How are you able to monitor your table and swap with others if you are walking around looking for plants for yourself? Does it just work itself out? And did you swap everything you brought? Thanks for sharing the experience.
