Voted for the first time yesterday! My grandfather took me and I was so nervous but it was so worth it. I was literally thinking about this pod the whole time. People say they prefer when yall don’t talk about politics but then when you don’t they come after you. Damned if you do damned if you don’t.

Love the recycling chat, my previous roommate used to recycle the craziest things. I found hair ties, balls of hair, a hairbrush, plastic bags and plastic wrapping. She also used to put un-rinsed plastic meat packaging which smelt so bad, un-rinsed food jars and takeaway food boxes with food residue which always attracted ants. She never emptied it either 😫

The recycling system in my town only takes plastic 1 and 2. Like if you lift a plastic container the number is in the triangle. Always check with your local municipality about what recycling you can do curbside and what you can do through Terra cycle for example

My mom used to work at the company that made duct tape and they had duct tape art when you walk in the building and there was a contest to win money. If I remember correctly I think it was money towards schooling, but I was young when she worked thete.

I voted for Kamala, but I’m growing tired of it being pushed so heavily by others. People will make their own choices, and trying to sway their opinions isn’t going to change that. As for recycling, Mike, it actually consumes more energy and produces significant carbon emissions. Reusing boxes is far more sustainable than recycling. Simply save them for your next move and avoid purchasing new ones-there’s an abundance available at places like grocery stores and convenience stores if you just keep an eye out.
