Understandable relief at avoiding relegation, but it's funny to me how the 16th-placed club can win 3-2 at home versus the 13th-placed club and the fans, players and manager celebrate madly like they've won the league. Emotional scenes more joyous than Liverpool after winning the FA Cup. I see comments from people praising the "spirit" of the players for showing some fight at the end of the season. But let's just forget how Everton had their worst season in 20 years and lost 20 matches. 😂 I suppose winning silverware is out of reach for 95% of clubs in this era of Arab nations and multi-billionaires owning football teams and buying up all the great players for hundreds of millions,. So the less wealthy clubs who don't have oil-rich benefactors must celebrate the little victories wherever they can and be happy just to make up the numbers in the Premier League. It's a strange comp.

(if historian buffs say Preston won it first two years of the league they are wrong) The league started in 1888 and Preston won it first two years then Everton..BUT..when Preston won it they only had medals not the trophy that was presented to Everton Football Club in 1891. As a Liverpool fan, I weirdly kept finding myself checking the Everton scores after each game hoping they’d get a result. It would be extremely weird not to see them in the PL and not having a Merseyside derby. Too big of a club to go down and happy they’re staying. Well played

Fair play to the supporters, the players have let you down all season, your support has literally swept them to safety. The players are not good enough to wear the jersey, big changes needed but taking nothing away from the last few results, great scenes at Goodison Park, never nice to see a big club suffer relegation, LFC supporter
