I have the 7'10" (I'm 6'6" 215lbs) and have found that she doesn't really work well until chest high or better.

Awesome review as always. I have a 6’10 Lost Smooth Operator. It’s been my go to for the past 4 years. I absolutely love it. It appears to be a very similar board to the CI MID. The big difference is the fin set up. I surf it as a quad or a single. It would be great if you could get hands on one and do a direct comparison.

Please recommend where I can get one of these in epoxy?
@TheRegularGuyReview5 ай бұрын
Hi, some regions will stock them, but most will require a custom order from CI for your region. You can get hold of them and order the board direct.

Hi, I am from India, and got the pu ci mid . Love the board for our mellow waves . It’s so easy to get in to the waves, I wanted to ask you how can I find the epoxy version. The pu version is so brittle and dings so easily, I think epoxy is way stronger. I am not able to find the epoxy version of this board online !!! Please help..
@TheRegularGuyReview5 ай бұрын
Hello, for the epoxy you will have to order a custom. Get in touch with CI for your region or head office and they can sort you out.

Was the EPS glassed competitive as well as the PU? Or was the glassing a little stronger to reduce the pressure dings?

GREAT VIDEO BTW. been wanting a CI MID for about a year now, and I am just waiting to see more reviews cause this thing aint cheap. Especially if I wanna get a custom epoxy as well, great to see this review comparing the PU and EPS, just what I needed thank you!

Ahoy, the epoxy was glasses standard. Bit more response and paddle power. I highly recommend the board. Lukka

Hello, what is a looser more maneuverable, Chilli midstrenght or CI MD ? Thanks
@TheRegularGuyReview2 жыл бұрын
Both pretty similar but I would give it to the CI

Hi I’m looking at a 7’4 CI Mid. Skill level advanced beginner/early intermediate. I’m improving but still not the strongest or most confident paddler. Would you recommend going with epoxy instead of PU?
@TheRegularGuyReview2 жыл бұрын
My feeling is stuck with the PU - just get normal glass - not heavy. You will be stoked.

PU vs Epoxy for mid lengths? Advantages either way?
@TheRegularGuyReview2 жыл бұрын
I really enjoyed the CI in epoxy. It felt a little more responsive and was lighter making it a little easier to throw up into the lip for a bigger board. It did not like a lot of bump though, epoxies common problem and I did snap it into three pieces in a barrel at JBAY - I probably would have broken a PU one too, but the epoxy got destroyed. I am now back on a PU version and it feels stronger. I think overall I choose PU for a mid.

@@TheRegularGuyReview Thanks for the feedback! So would you say the epoxy is more fragile? I've heard that epoxy is great for summer boards when you have small clean waves, this confirms that!

@@TheRegularGuyReview Hi, so you have changed your recommendation vs the video where you were leaning towards the epoxy version?
