I thought I would chime in--my daughter is thrilled that you put her doll in the museum. Her name is Konstanze--we used the German spelling since my ancestors are from Germany but we use the English pronunciation so Jen was right--it sounds like Constance. And technically we are from Monmouth, pronounced Mon-muth. No one says that correctly! LOL But thank you for selecting it for your museum--you really made her day, week, month and probably year!

The wood blanks are used for making custom pens. Most of them are expensive woods that are hard to find anywhere but on line. You scored! And yes, they would make different sounds because of the different densities of the wood.

I work (mostly on a lathe) with all sorts of exotic hardwoods, including all of the ones in this episode, and I absolutely love smelling them too. Each has a distinct smell, especially when it's cut, and I can actually tell them apart by smell now. The easiest one to smell is olivewood which literally smells exactly like olives.

WOAH! I thought I'm the only one with that problem! My teeth are very sensitive whenever I eat anything very sweet. Chocolate, gummibears... and I see there are other people too, oh my. Well not all of them but a few on my left side are sensitive. My dentist didn't believe me, she said that isn't possible. It has to be hot or cold what I'm sensitive to. But I don't eat my chocolate hot or cold, danggit, Mrs Dentist! xD I don't understand how it works, but it DOES hurt... it's a thing :c

As a guitar player who knows a lot about the woods used on guitars, that gift was awesome. Most of those woods can be used on guitars. Woodworker here, all wood has a distinct smell that is more prominent after cutting the wood as it releases the fragrance into the air. Walnut is my favorite smelling as it smells a bit like brownies. I am also a bit jealous of Rhetts gift, having exotic samples of wood labeled like that brings out my woodworker nerdness. I can't believe I don't have a set like that myself.
