I am praying that you feel his strength with you even now. Speaking in tongues isn't a special blessing that brings you closer to God. At Pentecost, there were people from many different places speaking different languages. The tongues, or languages, that were given allowed each person to hear the gospel in his own language. You don't need a "spiritual language" to hear from God. Read his Word. You don't need "tongues" to cry out to God. He gave you the language you have.
