I remember stumbling across your Howl’s Moving Castle Sophie’s Hat Shop video like 5 years ago and sharing it with my best friend. Pretty soon we were texting each other whenever you uploaded a new video and pressing play on our laptops at the same time, so we could watch together and discuss our favourite parts. Every video we admired your skill in assembling the sets, the props, the costumes, the makeup, and we delighted over our little corner of the internet where we were guaranteed a stress-free block of time in our days and the comment section was always so wholesome. Our favourites were Babblebrook and Valley Girl, so different in energy and equally delightful. These videos have been such a comfort in sad and stressful times, and I’m so grateful the KZbin algorithm blessed me that day all those years ago. Now here you are with 1 mil subs 🥲 congrats Erin! This is giving me major flashbacks to being a first year teacher and finding a tick in one of my student's hair burying into her scalp. I kept it together long enough to get her to the nurse then had to go panic in my office for a while. I'd found a few on my dogs before but seeing one on a human was terrifying. Holy crud. I know there's people that hate when the mannequin head is in the shot because if we're the subject, it breaks the illusion & ruins the immersion. Personally, that's never been a bother for me, but hey, to each their own, right? You seemed to try and find a happy medium here with that shift in perspective, and I gotta say, I admire & applaud your focus and commitment to not looking at the camera to avoid "breaking the wall". Never let anyone tell you that you're just some silly youtuber. You have a damn good head for narrative. Well done.
