That’s why I never mark my reading books until they are dOne bc I would 100% have just as many😆 my method is, if I forget about it I guess I don’t care that much about it, and if I do, I’ll just readd it to my Libby lists. I use StoryGraph though. I never really got into good reads and the StoryGraph graphs and stats are so fun!

Hahaha, yeah maybe I should just do that as it is a great method, buuuuut I am naturally extremely forgetful and so sometimes I really do forget books I love, just because life got in the way 😅😂 I tried using StoryGraph and I did love the stats, but I use a reading tracker spreadsheet and that gives me similar stats and I really like the interface and social aspect of Goodreads more. I go back and forth about potentially switching or just using both. Maybe next year I will just use both and see how I feel!

@@RaesReads that’s entirely fair, I mean hey as long as it works for you that’s the only thing that matters!!

Your current tbr is so validating to me hahaha I love that I am not the only one that has a pile of started books just patiently waiting for me to return to them 😅 I did not know Spectacular existed!! And maybe it’s cause of where I live and the fact that I don’t get to experience a winter wonderland ever that I actually love when books or movies do that hehe adding it to my tbr I wish I could use the CAWPILE system but I just don’t think I am organized enough for it sadly haha I love how much input it has though and I think it would really help me remember the books better 😅 I’ve never read Holly Black so skipped through those quotes to not spoil anything hehe but now I feel like I need to read her book! As well as some others you added in there, my tbr is forever growing oh no haha Absolutely love every Six of Crows quote you added though! 🤍

Hahaha, that makes me happy to hear that others have the same problem 😂 I had no idea it existed either until someone I follow on Goodreads said the same thing. It seems Garber kind of just snuck this novella out somehow. Sorry not sorry for encouraging you to grow your TBR 😂😂 It definitely does help me remember the books much better! I feel like it makes me pay more attention to things while reading in general, as I am already thinking about what I would rate the characters or the logic, etc. I tried to pick only the quotes that would not spoil things, but some are perhaps borderline spoilery! You definitely have to give her Folk of the Air trilogy a try, though. I love it so, so much! 💜

@@RaesReads oh never be sorry for adding to my TBR I love it! Even though I’ll never get to actually read them all in one life time haha 🥲 You are convincing me to try and give the CAWPILE method a try…maybe next year 👀 Ok adding Folk of the Air to my list!! 💛

@@AnasBookery Haha, all the time I am like 'if I can manage to read 100 books per year, it will take be 8.5 years to finish my current TBR on Goodreads, but then I will likely have added 1000 more and I'd need 10 more years', etc, etc. It makes me sad I can't get to them all 🙃 You should!! The videos linked on my monthly recaps (from The Book Roast) have a free Google Spreadsheet that makes it soooo easy to do and then you have tons of fun stats at the end of the year without doing any extra work other than just typing in the book info. I love it! Can't wait to see what you think about it! 😍

@@RaesReads it’s the worst 😭 we’re never going to have enough time to read all the books out there. So sad. Too many books to little time 🥲 Ooooh perfect definitely going to look into it!! 👀 worried I’ll get addicted to it haha

I can't tell if I should refer to it as my "currently reading" pile or my "soft dnf" pile. But mine is also huge. Being able to read Harry Potter in another language is a good milestone :o I wonder if I can find it in Mandarin.. but like pinyin because I'm terrible with the characters. That Anna Borges review is hilarious. That may make me pick up the book as well.

That is a good term to describe it, haha. Ooh, that would be so much fun to read HP in Mandarin. I think I actually saw it on Amazon in the US a couple of years ago in pinyin! Hopefully you can still find it now for not too expensive. It's such a fun book to read in a foreign language! Haha, yes, it really was such a good review of her own book. I love it 😂
