Hermitcraft S9 Episode 1: MEGA Start!

Hermitcraft season 9 episode 1! We start out big with our Minecraft let's play ep 1 on the Hermitcraft S9 server with a massive starter treehouse base. The design of the survival base will be elven-themed. Once we complete the treehouse, I'll build my dream Minecraft build.
We start the episode by exploring caves with Mumbo and Grian. But that goes hilariously wrong. We go all out to get a Netherite hoe to harvest leaves for my elven-themed starter base. The base will be a treehouse and shop.

i've only been watching any hermit since the summer of 2022. i was aware of hermitcraft but never thought i would be a fan. it took mumbo's tutorials to drag me in out of sheer curiosity. that led to watching the three life series which sealed the deal. after that, i committed to watching scar, mumbo, and grain (not fixing it) through season 7. now, i watch hermitcraft through the lens of seven hermits regularly. so appreciative of scar's work and wonderful demeanor in particular. #TeamScar

Omg, when he first said "let's set our spawn", quickly followed by a gasp, I was convinced for a fraction of a second that he realised his soon to be mistake, but then he went "do I need a shield?" and I told myself "Of course the man is going to die by trying to set his spawn with a bed right after exploding one for Netherrack farming, this is Scar" xD And then I proceeded to almost die from laughter as he did exactly that. Such a gem.

Scar, I really needed this. Especially the part where you thanked us all for watching. I- I had paused it right before that part and wasn't feeling too good, and then I unpaused it and you said you appreciated me, and i really can't thank you enough. You've been a comforting light in a hard time in my life, with my grandmother dying last year, my dog dying 5 months ago, Technoblade dying 2 months ago, and TFC dying a few days ago. Not to mention working through a lot of mental health stuff lately. You've really helped me through so much. I really wanna meet you at some point, at Minecon or whatnot. That would be *amazin'.* That would be one of the best days of my life. I hope Minecon starts back up again. So thank you, *so much*, for what you do. It means so much to me and many *many* others I'm sure. You are my comfort KZbinr. You inspire me to look on the bright side, and you put a smile to my face with your antics and humor and just being *you*. I hope you're doing OK. But if you aren't that's perfectly ok too. You go through so much every day, physically and mentally, and I know it has to effect you sometimes. And thats OK. We're here for you too Scar. I view you almost as a friend I've never met, and I've only been watching you for a few months. You mean so much to me. So if you need a break, take it. If you need a shoulder to cry on, you have almost 2 million people here to comfort you. Cuz you do so much for us, I wanna give back. You're truly amazing Scar. Never forget that.💜

This is the best starter base I have ever seen. My starter bases are little holes in a mountain with no interior decoration or exterior decoration. just a small chest, furnace and a crafting table😂
