A cold hearted pokemon willing to do anything necessary to survive. Like in Sneasel's pokedex entries. "It is extremely vicious and will not stop attacking until its foe is incapable of moving." Then there's, "A smart and sneaky Pokémon. A pair may work together to steal Eggs by having one lure the parents away.", and finally "It has a cunning yet savage disposition. It waits for parents to leave their nests, and then it sneaks in to steal their eggs." It's a cold hearted predator going after eggs of not just pidgey but any pokemon egg they could find.

@@TheJamieellis By making it a Pokémon that would come put only on rain days. Making it's ability drizzle. Making it a Amefuri kozō yokai for inspiration. A yokai that is very shy with humans but will not hesitate to steal a human's umbrella, has a mischievous streak which exemplifies the dark type. It appears during rainfall in japan. Look this Yokai up, it's pretty interesting.

I love Ice types! Water is good for designing fish Pokemon, but if you want a polar bear or a wooly mammoth, you gotta have Ice. Also, I love that Grant slipped and called Somara "Slowmara" on instinct.

Combining Earth and Rock makes some sense, but Ice is distinct from Water. By that logic, Electric and Fire should just be Heat or something.

I think the moves are different for fusions because a level 23 Mankey is brought down when fused with a lower level. They could run a hustle with higher level attacks!

Looking at the stats, Kadadrill got a +5 in spatk, but pretty much everything else took a hit, especially with -7 each to HP and speed. On that note, your bee now has a spoon and must be named after the Honey Nut Cheerios mascot

Also, I'm so glad you didn't make the same mistake as I did with the Nidoran evolutions (and you can buy a moon stone from that house in Cerulean with Rocket grunts in it for 6k, btw) Also also, you'll be told when the fossils can be revived. Ice fills a different niche from Water, though it is a shitty type that occupies a shitty niche. If we were to merge Ice and Water, it's weird to say, but I'd rather Water go away than Ice, and we just merge the features of water into Ice. Ice is really just due a rework and improvement. Take away that Dragon weakness, but give it resistance to more stuff.

As an ice power lover in fantasy things, it ALWAYS sucks. It just freezes or stuns, which electric can do, it can rarely do anything effective or good in all the media I've played, and it sucks defensively in Pokemon. Love me some ice, but, damn...

I don't know if y'all have been told but teleport is literally fly in this game. So if you wanted to go back to Mount Moon or even back to pallet Town for some reason all you have to do is teleport

Somewhat agree on the ground/rock combination, gotta disagree with combining ice/water. Ice feels more broad, I'd struggle to see something like Mamoswine be water/rock(or geo I guess?) in that alternate universe. There are a lot of creatures who have ice type mainly because they're arctic creatures, and while snow is water it doesn't really come across the same. Plus water is already the most overinflated typing because of all the sea creatures, adding ice on top of that would kind of be insane. The type totally sucks but that could be fixed instead of just ditching it. Also I gotta say Oddras is really pulling their own for most of this video and deserves some serious credit. It clutched a sleep effect spore twice preventing it from fainting and allowing it to get most of its HP back via absorb. That little girl is going to go places. I hope you guys choose Bellossom over Vileplume because I like the formers shiny better and I think it could make some fun and cute fusions.

Ice is needed. You can't chill your drink with water. You chill it with ice. So just like a drink, you need your Pokemon to chill out, otherwise they'll always be edgy. You can't stab someone with water, you just kinda shove them around or put out fire. But ice? You can sickle them without remorse, with your cold, cold heart. From a gaming perspective, I like Ice because it's all offensive. I do think it's a bit silly Fire destroys ice, though. You'd think that'd just make them water types, but I get it. They lose their identity as ice and being watered down is no good. But either way, I think ice is needed for its sort of "pure attack, low defense" style that a lot of Mon benefit from. They'd be too strong with less resistances and... Well, some typing advantages make sense. Like ice beating flying is good and if it was just water, that wouldn't make much sense. Y'know with all the water birds in the Mon world. But either way, it does act as the anti-Dragon early on, but I think Fairy has more or less taken over that role. I do think Ground/Rock is a rather redundant type difference, but it'd be weird if they weren't, too. I get why they're separate, despite being so similar, because you can't really throw a ground at a bird, but you can hit two with one rock... probably. And rocks probably get split by lightning more than we think, while Ground needs a lot of work for it. I think the real issue with ground is two fold: a majority of the rock types are also ground types... and that's silly. But also Ground is Electric's only weakness, which is dumb, but I couldn't see throwing a rock at a thunder bolt doing much. But if it's grounded, it's useless. So ... meh. I could see them removing the "Ground" typing from Pokemon, but Ground type moves would probably have to stay, at the very least. Would it be interesting to have a move set nothing can have Stab with? Hmn... But anywho! Thanks for the Good Times. Good luck with your Mermaid Karate.

Ice is just too thematically different from water to really justify combining them at this point. Water and ice as one element need to be eatablished early on and with mechanics to seperate "cold" damage. Pokemon just doesn't have without keeping ice as it's own thing

The way I see it: Rock/Ground is dumb. Geodude, Onix, Rhydon? Those are just rocks. Mono-ground types are Diglett, Cubone, Groudon, Mudsdale. Those can be rock without much thinking. There's an argument to made for the Water/Ice types (Dewgong, Walrein, Cloyster) that being water alone would work, but when you look at the mono-ice it just gets utterly ruined. Regice, Glaceon, Beartic, Bergmite, Vanilluxe. You'd be making Glaceon into a water type. And that's just weird. As a theme, Ground kinda doesn't work. As a theme, Ice *works*.
