I love that I can't really tell when Kirran is doing a bit and when he's not, but I am 99% certain that Grant is always doing a bit, and it is mostly just to scare Kirran.

Glad to see you guys are going to keep playing the game! I know it can be quite confusing and a bit of a slow burn at first, but I promise it gets a lot more spooky and interesting as you get further in! There's a lot more than just aliens in those woods. Here are a couple tips though as it can be really confusing at first and your chat doesn't seem as familiar with the game: 1. The number in the top left is your points/money. You get them from doing your daily tasks every day primarily, but an easy way to get some decent money is actually by selling your trash. You need to buy an item box from the store (under essentials tab, very bottom), and you use trash bags to bag up all those piles of paper trash. Put them in the box and send them away with your drone and you'll make a surprising amount of money for the garbage. You should have a few single trash bags and a trash bag roll in the bottom of one of those grey desks by the garage door. You have to hold them and right click to bag the trash. You can buy more from the store on the misc tab (There's also a way to make infinite money with trash and a wood chipper if you are so inclined, but it's a steep 250 points to buy it). 2. The daily task always asks you for some hash codes from 2 satellites, it wanted you to get them from Bravo and November this time. To do this you have to go to the satellite and type in "sv.hash" in the console, then take the codes you get and write it down on a piece of paper from the journals they gave you. You then rip the page off and put it on top of the drive box before sending them off. This usually nets you an extra 30-50ish points a day. 3. You can set your compass to point towards certain things such as satellite dishes. You go to a console and type in "sv. target (name)" and the red part of the compass will point towards your target. You can also do this to generators, and you should probably check those because they're very likely going to run out of power. It's a lot easier to follow the compass than it is following the power lines. 4. Your ATV flashlight never runs out of battery so feel free to keep that on forever. You can also "sprint" on it by holding down shift, but beware you will go flying if you hit a tree. I hope the game starts picking up for your guys because it's a really fun time once you pass the complicated bits at the beginning. Story events will start happening as you go on and they will push you towards finding more hidden stuff around the game. You can also cause events to happen by finding signals and upgrading them to high levels, then listening to them or sending them off, so be sure to save any weird looking ones you find for later! Have fun, and remember not to look behind all those boxes in your bedroom/bathroom because there's surely nothing behind there.

actually save all the signals except one from a meaty asteroid as that one causes a bad end because you can send them all at different levels so from a single green light (lvl 0) to a green light and 1 blue light (lvl 1) to a green light and 2 blue lights (lvl 2)to a green light and 3 blue lights (lvl 3) so say you have a planet signal at lvl 0 if you save it you can put a new drive in and get 2 drives that has both of the same signal at lvl 0 and while you can send the original one the 2nd one you cannot because is a copy but you can process the signal and get a lvl 1 signal from the same planet signal and then you can send that one now because that one is a new lvl 1 signal thus 1 signal ends up being like 4 different signals so every signal you ever record you can get 4 different variants from them all and the scientists will pay you for all of them

You are using a radio telescope (that's what the dishes are). The Sun isn't very "bright" at radio wavelengths, so you can observe during the day or night. Also, as a former astronomer, watching this drives me a little crazy.

I think it's a slow burn. They're also still getting into the gameplay loop, so maybe that will speed up the events from here on out. But honestly, the scares being 100% self-inflicted has been super hilarious so far.

The first couple of days are very slow burn. They want you to earn money (the number in the corner) and get comfortable... so that everything can go wrong. There are however some aliens out right now and they likely encountered an Ariral alien. They're invisible and will fuck with you for fun, usually by throwing stuff at you. They might have been hallucinating too, and if they get low on sleep they can be attacked by a sleep paralysis demon. Keep a look out for a pair of eyes randomly floating around when they're low on sleep. If they walk into them they'll get qttacked and sent into a crazy dream. Way more aliens and cryptids, some of whom are actually deadly, will appear later. And major events will happen when they hit certain days.

The scary parts don’t really start until a few days in, and then once you’re ~20 days in they REALLY get going. If you want them to be spookier you can self-inflict some!

@@sterpogamer7958iirc none of the food was nerfed or buffed, it’s a new mechanic that basically renders specific food less and less effective the more of it you eat. the shrimp packets are exempt from this but they do tend to get stolen :)
