Great finds...especially those plates. I always enjoy seeing what you find at thrift stores and yard sales. I have a favorite thrift store and I found a pretty piece of pottery for $2 that I was able to give as a Happy( unexpected gift here in the south) to a friend who is going through a hard time. It is good to be generous and thrifty at the same time.

I feel like this whole thrift would be in my cart. I have those salt and pepper shakers but in the green color. I paid $15!!! I'm a Murder She Wrote fan too!! I dvr them and save them for the winter. I then watch them with a fire going, tea and a blanket!! It's so nostalgic for me!! Great haul!!

I think you could even ‘chip’ off the yellowed glue for the initial repair and then redo it more discreetly. Even for display only I’d give it a go. Katherine

I looked up that author, Mary Jane Holmes. According to Wikipedia, Millbank was first published in 1871. I would guess that was a later edition due to the cover picture. The Plymouth Rock book would be fun as part of a Thanksgiving display! 🦃

I love vintage Ideals magazines and also the Victoria magazines too. My mom loved Murder She Wrote; it was one of her favorite shows. I watched it too sometimes, but I was in my 20s then and was working, going to college, and going out a lot so I didn't watch a lot of tv. =)

You’ll have to be on the lookout for some freebie bookcases to convert to built in like Hilary’s (Old World Home). It sounds like you’ve followed her for a while. I just rewatched the videos where she converted her find into the living room built ins and was blown away again by what they originally looked like! She gives such great inspiration! I think one of the bonus books was one of the OC saves I told you about. I have some of the pink Currier & Ives pieces that were my parents. They got them for their wedding then promptly had six kids in 8 years! Needless to say not many pieces survived! 😂

I have the shallow Currier &Ives soup bowls and I love them that I found at Goodwill. I also found what must be a platter. It’s basically an oversized plate. I joked with my husband and told him it was his Thanksgiving plate 🤣. That was an amazing bargain on the embroidery hoops! At my goodwill they charge $3-$6 each! I absolutely LOVE Murder She Wrote. Especially since it is set in my state 😊.
