The Goodwill bins you showed is nothing like the ones in my city, everything is all churned in the big rolling bins when they are brought out for shoppers. Shoes, clothing, plastic toys, knick knacks of the less breakable types all mixed together in a big chaos. It can be daunting.

Op-shops in Australia are insanely expensive. It's like they have accidentally become some niche store for people with money to come and buy things to resell rather than selling to people who can't afford the stuff brand new

Same in New Zealand 😪 Since covid in 2020, opp shops have increased their prices, sometimes substantially. I used to volunteer in a 'Church' opp shop. We got an email from the top informing us that.... While historically their outlets have been considered the cheap option, the introduction of stores like the 'Warehouse', means this mindset needs to change, as affordable everday items can be purchased from these stores. Opp shops should now be considered as outlets where 'treasures' not available elsewhere can be found, and these 'gems' need to be priced accordingly. I.E. prices need to be increased as our stores are unique. We should no longer be considered the cheap alternative.

I've always admired a person who could look at clothing on a hanger or in a bin and be able to "see" how it will look and make an outfit in their mind. You have that gift, plus were able to hold things up, talk about it, and I could "see" it, too! That has never happened to me before. I would love to go shopping with you, but I don't think you live in my area, I''ve never found such nice things at thrift stores around here, and not for the prices you quoted. All of this was fantastic! I'm so happy those jeans fit you, because, well, BELL BOTTOMS!! And the dress totally works on you. I had a leather coat like that in high school (during the 1970's) in gray, I loved it!✌❤

Our Goodwill is a bit different. It is actual Big bins with huge piles in them, Sometimes they may get one that is mostly sheets or something like that, otherwise, just start looking. They remove them I believe twice a day, what was in them goes to the dump if you can believe it, and they pull out all new bins. The shoe you were looking for may be gone with the bin. Lots of time it will be all the boxes, they dump out from a garage sale, thus the same sizes and styles, but lots of brand new things. We are a Military town, and people move alot, stuff gets donated. I can not believe you are not keeping that coat,,,,,,,,the red dress is very cute, but so was that first little shirt that matched your tank. Then there were some shorts after that you liked, the three would be a perfect outfit......I think the blue pants are also called yoga Pants. I have some I bought new, and they are athletic pants, not maternity, but I could pass for that if not so old!!! Those boots, and the leather converse you said? OMG. Great watching this, I love garage sales, etc. The less I pay, thte more I seem to like something. I have the same style, except for the horror part, but actually am from the hippy generation, or just behind it.

Looks like your cart at Goodwill is as full as mine. I'm a seamstress and make sweater coats, fantasy coats (same thing, just done with tapestry type fabrics) and lots of other up-cycle type stuff. We sell at smaller Renaissance Faires since the bigger ones charge a lot more, and some even want 15% of your profits on top of that!

As someone who loves bright colors it reminds me of a game I play when shopping with my friend called can I rock this where she picks out the most loud colored things she can find and I try them on if they fit I ask her can I rock this I find it encourages me to try things I would otherwise stay away from ( I always rehang and wear my clothes until they can’t be worn anymore)

Aw your second cat, not the black and white, is identical to my baby kitty Kusskuss who died in April, your cat had exactly the same face, colouring (except Kusskuss was darker a wee bit and more spots than stripes) the face is the same though. OK, wow. I don't know where you are but that looks NOTHING like my bin store. Ours is in a grungy old warehouse that has roof issues every time it rains. It rains a lot here in NW Arkansas this time of year. Our bins are the same as yours, except that they are far less organized, and there are ALWAYS more people in our than your video showed. Shopping at my bin store is turning into a full contact sport, between the illeg-uh, I mean, "undocumented" buying clothes for their extended families, the rude loudmouth teen boys fighting for vintage t-shirts to sell on the 'gram, Flea booth people restocking, and the usual riff-raff (which includes me). I mean pushing and throwing elbows. The funny part is the amount of good valuable resellable items theses people leave me after attacking the new bins brought out like Viking Raiders.
