Nah, Microsoft consoles aren't that durable, I had 11 360's fail on me, everything from memory errors to red rings, also fixed several xbox ones myself. Never had to fix a Sony or Nintendo machine.

I just got the HMH 301 wii from one of the previous episodes. Gonna be making a video soon about it. I also bought some cords for an original xbox and a 360. Found out the 360 has NXE Dashboard so that will be in the video as well. I also bought a controller so I can play my old ps3. Question Jacob, I know you don't want to be known just as the dkoldies guy, major props for moving on when you did. But can you revisit them one last time? Buy a PS3, an Xbox 360, a Nintendo Wii, and his check simply to see if they changed the thermal paste. I just bought a 360 from them and I'm skeptical. On one end, the seal is broken and the console looks like it was cleaned. On the other end, there were a couple of spots that had food crumbs on it. And some dust. They put a sheet with it that said they cleaned it and put thermal paste on, and that they changed the 360 disk drive belt. But did they? I may take it apart to find out. But now that there's been so much pressure, now that they changed all of their procedures, it would be good to have one last revisit to see if they are actually worth buying from now. By the way, they get a lot of crap for their prices, but I still think they should be recommended for some things. I needed an Xbox 360 because I already had a power brick, but I got a red ring of death. They were selling a console only for $54 with 15% off. If there's a company that actually changes out thermal paste, it would probably take them 20 minutes just to do that. And it probably cost them like $15 to ship the thing. For about $45 total, with free shipping, that's a complete steal. And sometimes they do have some games, even a game like Fable 3. For example, they were selling the disc only for like $3. That's cheaper than you'll ever find on eBay, and of course the shipping will be free since it's shipping with everything else. Long story short, yeah, you might find some collectible games that they will double the price on because they are short on stock. But look at their trade-in prices right now, they are paying more for rare games than you can buy them for right now on eBay. You can sell your games directly to them, and get more. I'd love to see you explore on a positive note, some of the good values you might be able to find. Maybe try trading in some collectibles to see if they actually offer you what their website says. Just make sure to do all of this under a different name. I'm also curious to see if they changed the thermal paste on the Wii because most people wouldn't even care about that. The wii doesn't even get hot anyway. But do they actually change the thermal paste? I would be fascinated. Because for me, the retro gaming market has become filled with Dusty disgusting consoles. If I could find a place, even if it costs more, that will open up a console like the 360, I would buy it in a heartbeat. My wife took apart my 360, which is why mine got a red ring. And it took her easily 30 or 40 minutes alone with screws everywhere. One of the harder consoles to open. If they seriously go through all that work, getting a warranty and getting thermal paste replaced worth it. That's why I'd love to see, even if they clean it a little imperfectly, and rush through a little bit, do they actually replace thermal paste and drive belts? This would be an amazing video to close out the year

With these older consoles, If you're outside of the NTSC region, you will run into a couple of issues: The power supply of the console will need swapping out and it'll be region locked, so you can't play PAL games, etc. Unless it's hackable.
